JM...

Have you had any trouble with your verifier coming out? Mine has come out, twice. I hope it's not a sign of things to come. I need to figure out a way to secure it.
Jeff:

Wipe a little string wax on the threads on the outside of the insert. Be careful to not get any on the lens.........

This will help hold it in there secure and prevent it from coming loose. This works for a lot of bow equipment. I do it on the knob that tightens on my sight extension bar as well as any mod screws that may be in my cams.

Thanks.

Hey I tried to call you last night. That rest you sent me.....I was trying to set it up on Mitch's Guardian. How do I set it up with the prongs.....and still use it as a spring type rest in lieu of a fall-away? Can I just remove the spring and insert the prongs and let 'er rip?

Hey RJ... Rules question...and I'm not trying to put anyones crap in the fire I truely don't know..and besides I get the whole "for fun" aspect of the contest.

Is a clarifier legal in bowhunter class? I don't even know what a clarifier is but it must magnify to some extent.

Clarifier is legal in bowhunter class for the IBO. I don't know about if they are legal for NFAA or NAA though to be honest. It doesn't magnify though, it actually makes things technically smaller technically.

I'm not (and jm) using a "clarifier". We're using a "verifier" lens in our peep. It ONLY makes the pins clearer. it actually blurs the target, some.

I am old and I need it.

Mine hasn't come out yet, but I will check it out and put some wax or finger nail polish on it to make sure. Thanks for the heads up, Jeff. I wouldn't want to have to find it in my workshop, If you know what I mean.

I shot pretty good last night...beginners luck probably[8D]. Next week I'll probably do terrible.

I'm glad I turned my bow down to 60#s b/c I was wore out after shooting 45 shots. I might even turn it down a little more.
What is usually the averagedraw weight that a bow should be setup for target shooting?

I'd highly suggest NOT using a higher power. The higher the power you get, the more percieved movement you see in your scope, and the less you are going to trust your hold.......

I'm shooting 6x right now, and thinking of dropping to 4x honestly until I get things sorted and my shooting back in order. I'm supposed to have a 4x coming to me soon, and I will probably use this for most of my indoor season.

I shot a 434 12x tonight for my first vegas score. Not too bad for the first score but the x's sure could have been better.[8D][8D][8D][8D]
