Right on w/ the design, as I'm not too good at that.

Hopefully I'll get drawn for my managed hunt...also have a lease, but I have never hunted there prior. However, have three stands set, adding two more this week. Time will tell.

If you can't tell from the name I hunt in MO. Hope to help out the team tag a big boy.

Kreagerm checking in. Nice to meet you guys. I'm excited about this season and getting to know all of you. First off I'm highly competative so lets give'em hell boys, but have fun at the same time.

My name is Matt, I live and hunt in Maryland, I'm 34 been hunting for about 15 years now. Love to Bow Hunt, and I have a bunch of nice spots lined up. Lets hear about everyone as you start checking in.

Transcendstime sounds like you've won the avatar job, LOL

As we go lets get a bunch of name options together, then we can finally get a captain aboard.

As you know we have a lot of catching up to do with the other teams so lets hear about things like, when your season starts, seen any promising bucks ect...

Fisrt off my season starts Sept 15th. The spot I have picked out for opeing morning is a bedding ridge between an orchard and a corn field. My last scouting trip about 3 weks ago, there was pretty eventful. At 7am I had a bunch of does as well as a tall 8, a shorter 8, short 9 andthree 6 points around me. So I'm looking forward to the 15th as you can tell. Ok so that's it for me, lets hear about you guys.

MOhunting 08-27-2008 07:39 PM

RE: Official Team 46 Thread

Pump Station Predators
Stand Stalkers
Death Dealers
Lay'em Down

I'll try to think of more, but I'm really not too picky.

Transcend...I see you like racing bikes. Track or street. What bike you got? Just sold a '04 CBR 600rr had a ZX6 prior too. Just curious.

MOhunting 08-27-2008 07:46 PM

RE: Official Team 46 Thread

My season is 9/15-1/15.

Opening day, I will be hunting b/t bedding area and feed plot. Little behind the ball b/c I just got a new hunting lease worked out earlier this month. I hunt down south and up north on the Iowa border. I also hunt in my town pending my mgmnt hunt. I know their is a massive 8, and a smaller 8 where I hunt but I haven't been their enough...yet. I usually hunt A LOT, and hopefully this year is no exception. I have a ton of spots to hunt...just trying to wittle down the $ stand

RE: Official Team 46 Thread

___HUNTING___

I am hunting a few diff spots, In FL I will be hunting a friends farm, a bit of land Ibought resently(Have seen a couple deer there mostly hogs so only if nothing else produces), and a couple spots in a WMA that can almost guarantee me a buck ..SEPT 20th opener...

Then I move to Alabama, dec 6th.

I bought into a hunting club with over 2000 acres (16 members), and close to 30 food plots (with a LOT of big deer)..

So if all goes as planned I will contribute the best I can with our punny southern deer =P

____RACING____

I race A bunch of different bikes.

I have a 2003 SV650 (Superstock bike) -- 2004 SV650 (Superbike) -- 2007 gsxr 600 (Super Stock)-- 2005 Yamaha R1 (Street)

CCS #812 expert WERA #812 expert AMA#812

I also raced a 2005 Gsxr in @ the 2005 Daytona 200 (Got to race against Spies, Zemtke, Maladin, etc etc) It was great but they are SOOOO fast.. I placed 39th out 76 starters (54 finished the race 66 laps).

Hey,
I'm Chuck7 and I'm in too.
The art work looks great Solocamcan...

I have never taken a shot at a deer before with a bow..so don't nominate me to be a captain..I've hunted for them seriously with a bow for the last 3 years..I've had them come in up to 10yds,,but they were spooked..

In Central Florida I only have 5 weekends to bow hunt..However; I have killed a few bucks with rifle.I hunt at a high pressured WMA BUT have found a couple of promicing spots. I'll do my best guys..My shot groups are very good..and I have a place to practice shooting out of my Summit..

Be safe ,,and wear that safety harness.
God bless,
Chuck7

I used to ride as well. Honda RC51 was my favorite bike I've owned. The name Non-Typical is just to simple, Love the artwork but lets really think of a name thathas a great ring to it. As for a Captain, we can vote when we all get checked it. I've emailed everyone so hope to hear froom everyone soon.

Matt

That's awesome Transcend...Spies is a stud, have a mutual friendthat is a child hood friend of his and I get to here all the funny inside stories.Few years back Mladin broke his elbow "in a racing accident" which was actually him screwing around on a bmx bike at this dude's car wash in fort collins, CO...funny to hear media spin.

Good we have some riders in the bunch.

I like Lung Jelly too, that's pretty good. I like Got (insert word), orI like other tag lines from popular companieslike nike - Just Kill It or BMW, the Ultimate Killing Machine...but you'd probably have to incorporate their symbols for folks to get it.

I was at Mid Ohio when Nicky won Superbike before heading to Europe the next year. That was an awesome race.

Sounds like this team is going to getalong pretty well. Now lets see if we can beat these other teams while we're having fun.

Yup, it's got to be your first buck killed. Make it count.

If 9 out of 10 of us were about to get 100 inches a piece we should be in contention.

RE: Official Team 46 Thread

This will me my first time for archery....I was in the 2005 gun contest and shot a small 8 point..The place I'm bow hunting this year holds a very nice buck..I've been watcihing him for 3 years..he would score about 120 which is very good for Florida. I called him out from his bed last year with a "Can."

As far as hunting..I've been hunting white-tails for nearly10 years. I spent the other years either in the military or college

Chuck7 08-28-2008 01:16 PM

RE: Official Team 46 Thread

As far as pressure..I have none.I hunt to relax and spend quiet time with God..Scoring is a bonus.;)I'll be reading my New Testament in the tree but arrow nocked ..

God bless,
C7

Hey Folks,
Have we decided on an avator and name yet..?? ;)Let's get r done team..Here's a few more names..
The Early Risers..
The Straight Arrows.
Venison Lovers
Nimrod's Archers . he was a mighty bow hunter in the Bible.

I would say the man in our group who has shot the most deer with a bow should be our captain..obviously he/she knows what they are doing and can be an inspiration for the rest of us..

Chuck7 08-28-2008 03:14 PM

RE: Official Team 46 Thread

How about some pics of the team members..??

Here's one from last year;s turkey season,,same high pressured WMA 50,000 acres. The Lord blessed me.
Not a bad Osceloa..1 inch spurs , 9 inch beard. 18 pounds..

RE: Official Team 46 Thread

HI Chuck, Nice bird you got there, Congrats. I hope the others start chiming in soon, so we can get our full team up and running. As for the names I guess we should do a poll when the time comes, then we can make out a avatar. As far as Captain goes, I'm up for anything we all want to do. I think we need someone highly motivated and who isn't going to disappear and leave us stranded. Someone who is motavating as well as aleader, not a follower. I know I would like to go into a poll for the Captain position if that's how we would like to do it.

What's everyones thought?

p.s. I'll try sending out another invite to our wayward team memberstomorrow

ksfowler 08-28-2008 05:10 PM

RE: Official Team 46 Thread

Here is a couple pictures of my biggest Turkey, Deer, and Walleye(thought i would throw that one in:D)

His net score was 162 and grossed 155 (Rifle kill) No bow kills to date but i had my chances.

I think our oldest and wisest teammate should be captain, we should vote though to make it fair.

I saw a nice buck today on one of my hunting spots in FL, looks like he's been hanging around the area for a while.. I may try and peak @ him on opening day.

8 point prolly goes 110 ish.

But no matter what one way or another I will contribute some points at least.

Just got down shooting and my rest needs major adjusting...just put ona spot hogg whammy and kinda wish I went with a limb driver. May switch out if problems persist. Have a WB and a hostage I can always throw on.

RE: Official Team 46 Thread

Well guys,

My season here in CT runs from Sept 15 through Dec 31. This is my second year in this contest. We got shut out last year. I am 45 and have hunting on and off since i was 18. Mostly shotgun for pheasant. I was introduced to bow hunting by my brother-in-law in 2001 and it is now my favorite form of hunting. I have taken in total 3 deer. @ with the bow and one with rifle. The 2 with the bow were both bulls eye shots through the lungs and the both the shots were taken within 10 minutes. The reason for my screen name is my favorite place to hunt is in New Mexico. I have been out there 3 times all unsuccessful hunts but had a blast each time. Once we get going i will let you in last years hunt.

Anyway looking forward to the season. As for a team name doesn't really matter, same for the captain.

Welcome Jack, Nice to have you on the team. We are going to have a nice year, I can guarantee you we won't get skunked. Sounds like we have a bunch of promising deer around us.

I'll be in the woods Sept 15th as well. I'll be in the woods once a week and on weekends. We just need the 15th to get here.
