Scouted some new area today and I saw 4 deer not sure what they were and also a fawn hidding behind a log. I bet it was no bigger then 15 lbs. Very odd for around here at this time of year. I hope no one kills it's mother, this one will surely die :(

Mohunting when does your season start?


Looks like I'll be hunitng my new area with a relative who needs some assistance in getting around. We found him a nice spot about 200 yrds of the road. Can't wait for Sept 15 to get here, I'm starting to dream about it. This area is know for it's big deer so I'm hoping it produces. If I don't produce anything opening day I will be taking off the next two days so I can get us on the board ;)

Mine is the 15th too, but I probably won't be shooting the first buck I see b/c I'm hunting land I'm not too familiar w/. And I plan on going up North for pre-rut/rut, so unless something decent walks by I will be a little hesitant. We have an antler restriction too, so most deer will be at least average. Southern MO is not big buck territory in comparison to where I live and up toward Iowa b/c of all the row crop up there.

I do have a couple great stand locations that I am excited about.

I keep thinking about season/fall to get under way (barring the 90 degree heat)...new bow, new lease, new pop up, and hopefully a mgmt hunt 10 minutes from my house that is an awesome spot for quaility bucks.

Team Silent Stalker should be in good shape.
