I took the liberty of PM'ing everyone on the team who is'nt already checked in to let em know to check in here.

Lets all get to know each other. Where is everyone from, family, how old, where will you be hunting biggest buck etc etc etc


I'm Bob, I'm 51, been hunting 39 years, bowhunting all 39 of those years . Got a wife, three kids and one grandchild, two the kids are bowhunters. (daughter doesn't hunt but boy can she fish) I live in southwest PA and I hunt PA and Illinois. Best buck so far was 152" I think ths is the fourth year I've done this contest and have met some great folks here.

We need to make sure everyone gets checked in and we need to pick a name and a captain.

I'll start with a few ideas for a team name:

Silent But Deadly (stole from my last years team)

Or how about using the team number in the name: Team 44 Magnum

Brotherhood of the blade

My name is Brian, 36 years young, been hunting for 23 years, from Long Island and now live in Chucktown SC, hunt OH, IL, SC, and NY. I have take some nice P&Ys in the 130 class. Still in searh for a BONNER. Sounds like we have a strong teem.

I like the Team 44 Magnum and the Silent Snipes.

Im Andrew, im 13. I've been hunting for 4 years now. I haven't killed a big buck yet but i have been watching some nice nice deer. Last year I saw the biggest deer of my life and they were fighting over a doe and I've been seeing them this year every once in awhile. I would say the biggest is near 160-170 and the smaller one is around 150-155.
I have am the youngest sibling and my sister (23) had her first baby february 12th and he is the cutest thing ever!!

Dont think wrong about me for only being 13 and only hunted for 4 years. I do know alot about deer hunting and this year I am getting into passing smaller bucks up and going for big.

Time to vote for team captain. Here is probably the easier way of doing this. Copy this team list and add a slash to the person you want. Once we have 10 votes I will gladly announce the team captain. (copy the latest voted team list so its easier to count :))

Hey guys, nice to meet you all, IM in central ohio, and have been bowhunting for 6 years, I had a gap in there when I joined the service (00-04)and then took a year off for school and starting a family, well last year I got back into it full swing and I cant believe I was able to stay away as long as I did, I got my wife shooting now, and have been really trying to get her into the woods, so cross your fingers for me! We now have a 9 month old son, and I my friends, have all the support to get into the woods this season, so game on! im on to several 140+ bucks, and at a buddies place we have two nice bruisers over 150, so it looks really good this season, I hope everyone the best ,and loook forward to getting to know all of you better.

Usually a member graciously offers to make team avatars for all the teams. I wish I could remember whomade them last year. He was a very talented guy. Does anyone here have those talents?

Lets start the team name vote the same way that Pope94/IA did the captain vote

I'll start the list. Cut and paste in your own suggestions. Lets hold off voting till we can come up with some choices. I like these two but maybe someone has a better one and we wouldn't want to burn our vote too soon and then see a choicewe like better....

Whats up guys, sorry I have been away for a while, work has been crazy. Anyway I'm Josh from southern Wv, one of the 4 bow only counties of Wv. I work at the local hospital, I'm 30 and turn 31 during our post rut here in Wv so a giant buck would be a great b-day gift, dont ya think. I am pumped found a shedabout 100 yards from my stand and scored it at 86 inches, so he is definately on my hit list. Hope to get to meet everyone a little better, I'll def. be on here a lot more now. My biggest buck to date is a 148 inch gross, 144 net, got 2 other pope and youngers. Started hunting big bucks back in 2001 and since then I have killed 3 p&y. I hope I can help the team out this year. Lets have some fun and be safe. Good luck everyone...

joshw020 checking in. . I'm 33, from Columbus, Ohio. I've been hunting for most of my life. Didn't do much bow hunting until 4 years ago, now I'm an addict! :DDivorced father of 2 wonderfull daughters. I've focused much of my newly found free time on my passion. I've taken a few nice doe over the last few years, as well as a pair of smaller bucks (5&6 points). I hunt some public land, but will be spending most of my time on private this year . . . and I'm thinking that you guys caught me at the right time :), or hoping, any way!

looks like we're only missing mofireman!i have 57 days to get my butt in gear.my son is so pump up this year.he's hooked and he hasn't even shot anything yet! i let the biggest buck that i ever shot walk 12 yards by me opening morning last year.he was heading right for my son and he didn't see it in time and couldn't get a good shot off. he was shaking so bad when i went to get him out of stand,he was like dad did you see that elk!!!!!!! that was so cool.i'm still kicking my self in the arse for not taking a shot oh well.
