Congrats on the great whitetail Mulie! I just got home from my antelope hunt, so now I can concentrate on pursuing whitetails! :D

Not a whitetail, but my first big game animal of the season: I'm on the left, let my buddy shoot the bigger buck this year, since he let me last time we went. Both bucks were bedded down together.

Thanks guys! Rammer sweet goat! They sure are fun to hunt! I met a lady at the Ducks Unlimited Banquet two weeks ago. We started talking. She said her husband is over in Iraq again.. Being a fellow service meber I offered to her my services. I told her is she needs help with anything I would be glad to help her out. Then her and my wife started talking about horses. They have five, we have one. She offered for us to bring our horse to her property because it is so close to my home. about 1/4 mile away. How cool is that! Then to top it off she said I could hunt her 15 acres of hardwoods which is surrounded by corn and a ton of autumn olive. Anyway i walked in and found a trail. Walked it a little ways and found a couple scrapes. Figured it looked good. Climbed the tree and settled in. Not **** 10 minutes latet here he came. Walked right to the tree I was in. I shot him right below my stand. Dropped him in his tracks!

Thanks fellas.

My other buddy that was along hunting with us shot his goat on Saturday, about a 12" one. He missed a pretty good 14" goat right before that. Then on Sunday we were getting ready to head for home and we spotted these 2 bucks off a mile an half, after taking a few pictures thru my spotting scope we decided they were worth a try. The only problem was it was BIG wide open country between us and the 2 bucks. We end up finding a good drainage and end up 175 yards from the pair. I told my buddy he had the first shot at the bigger one, since he let me shoot the bigger antelope 2 years ago when we drew tags. He dropped his in its tracks, and the other buck and the doe ran over the hill before I could get a shot at the other buck. When we got up to his buck, I decided to walk up the hill and see if the other one was still standing around, and he was only 150 yards away. I didn't have my rifle so I ran down the hill an grabbed my rifle and my pack and got back up to set up on him. He saw me and took off running, at around 350 yards he decided to stop an look back. I got settled in on my backpack and let one ring out, he hunched up at the shot an ran about 30 yards and summer saulted and piled up for good. This was my first animal with my new 270WSM, the 130gr BTs sure did a number on the goat, blew up the lungs (nothing was left over than gel) and wrecked the offside shoulder.
