Hey der guys, don't count me out, I want to play, I'm still here! Look's like we got a reall stab at the crown, great team of champions here. My name is Justin, and I am from the middle of Wisconsin in a great county called Marquette, and I only shoot Magnums. I have been just going crazy lately, my bow was away from me for a week getting all doctored up at the shop. I just gotter back today with a new,,,,everything! sure like that HHA! So, let's get the blood trails started and rack up some kills. Sure can't wait to see BBD!

You know, now that almost everyone has checked in, the team is looking better and better. Looks like we have guys with decades upon decadesof experience as well asthe alreadyknownheavy hitters. The rest of the "boys" have us at a 16:1 odds.

I was goofing around alotta bit and talkin' smack a few days back when I only knew about 2 solid hunters on our team. Now that the blanks have filled themselves in, all I gotta say is SHHHHHHHH...

Glad to see we've got almost everybody checked in! Everyone has responded except for Shed. I'm not too worried about him since he is listed asa moderator for the site and it sounds like he is Antelope hunting.

I'm still alive fellas. I was on the road for work the last couple days, found out that my hotel I'm staying in has wireless internet, so I may have to take my laptop with me next week so I can keep in touch!

BTW - I'm watching a buck thats a solid 160 right now, and he's got some growing to yet! :D

those are some fine bucks der guys, sure to rack up some points. Hey, I like the Midwest Maulers so long as we are all from the midwest. I do not have any buck picked out at all yet. I have what appears to be thousands of acres of corn around me this year and I can't see them deer. I have stayed out of the woods this year in hope to not disturb mySuperMagnum from last year.I saw him twice and he was not shot, he looks like the Jordan bucknotquite that wide, I mean it thoughIf he would have been shot the whole state wouldknow and I am sure it is his early season home. I have the lady going through hunter safety right now so she will be out with me a few times. I would love for her to shoot a Magnum before me. Something down right sexy about a woman holding on to a great big rack!

My very first thought last wednesday was Dark Nights because I wanted something that would"word play" on the Dark Horses.Then it dawned on me(no pun intended) that some might misconstrue"dark" as a knock off of the returning champs name. Well, my brain is still stuck on knight and I'm just throwin this out there but maybe...

Assassin Knights? (I like how that rolls off the tongue)

I also liked Greg's Deacons of Death because it has clever "letter play". (only way I know how toexplain the almost rythmicDea that exists in both parts of the name)

I also like:

Antler/ Arrow Antics... but I think the arrow should be left out.

and Bruiser Cruisers because of the rhyming.

Man you guys have some BIG deer there! I hope you put th e smack down on them! I was so excited this morning when I woke up, there were 6 bucks in my backyard! one is a BIG 8 pt. probably in the 125-135 class. I haven't seen him before so I was stoked!

I also like the team name Deacons of Death..

And I second Hoytail as team captain!


Only 12 days until I go back to Idaho elk hunting!!! I can't wait!

"Deacons of Death" struck me as something very formidable in the eyes of an opposing team. I liked it from the minute Greg PM'd it to me. I will agree as well with regard to the team name. This is obviously settled unless Troy(shed33) checks in and comes up with something better that every agrees on)

The only other issue at hand would be picking the team captain. As I like to tell people, "life is one big ball of irony"... and ironic it is because I think I was first to nominate Greg or Troy and it turns out almost everyone is now nominating me.I'm not sure what your reasons are, perhaps I've probably been posting a little more than anyone else and therefore the guy who's beendoing the most yapping should be the one to take the rap if the team falls on its face? LOL jk, regardless why you nominated me, I will accept the honor as long as everyone agrees.Majority, simply wont do, I needa unanimous decision before I accept.

sorry so late just rolled in (home)from a 7 day antelope hunt ..so I have been away.. Whitetail season opens Sat.. Great looking team! right on guys, I am ready to roll.. Whitetail, elk, mule deer, bears and turkeys all opens for archery here starting August 30th!

little about me, Idaho native, live tohunt whitetails up here in the panhandle, hunt elk, bear, mulies,turkeys and lopers too.. Whitetails have always beenmy favorite. Hunting Idaho, Eastern Washington, North Dakota this year for Whitetails. I start Saturday August 30! I am stoked to say the least.

Can't wait to get the ball rollin' and I wish everyone a safe and great whitetail season.
