I did a lot of practicing scenario's at my parents house yesterday. Feeling pretty confident with my groups. My 40 yard shots are not as tight as I would like them to be, but I have never had a reason to take a 40 yard shot on an animal before. I'm still putting all the arrows inside a circle the size of a coffee can, but I'm not satisfied. I want my 40 yard shots to be as good as my 20 yard shots. I guess I just need to work on the longer shots more. Other than that, not much else going on around here... Just patiently waiting.

Nothing to report to my team. The rare GA East wind is driving me crazy and the acorns are there, just haven't fallen yet. I've hunted 3 days total and seen 1deer, so it's a little slow.

Yeah, inside of a coffe can at 40 yards is pretty good. But I want to be better. I have a new philosophy. The better I am at the harder shots, the better I am at the easy shots. I don't have many opportunities at 40 yards either, but I want to be prepared in the case that the situation ever presents itself. I should be on stand one week from tomorrow. I have a spot that I pretty much hunt every opening day, but I am going to change it up this year. I usually wait to hit this other spot until the woods thins itself out a little more, but I am trying to go big this year. This place is my hub on the wagon wheel. It is the place where the big boys like to play. I was going to put my camera out there a few weeks back, but I didn't want to push my luck in that spot. I will set it up when I go out to hunt it.

Ok, why/how the Cowboys beat the packers on Sunday night:

Al Harris, our Pro-Bowl corner who has given up less than 10 touchdowns in the last 3 years, was injured in the 2nd Quarter. Before he was out, the score was 6-3. Afterwords, Miles Austin () had two big catches totaling 115 yards and a touchdown. No way that ever happens with him in their.

Other things to ponder,

Yes, we couldnt stop the run, but put Harris in the mix and Felix doesnt break that 60 yard TD. Both starting safeties were out, so that has no effect. If we meet in the playoffs, whoever has home feild should get the win. It looks like Al Harris might be done for the season, so thats give the Cowboys an edge.

Truthfully though, all that doesnt matter, Cowboys won....end of story.
