AfterI down load my area from microsoft terra server, i open it with paint, then i can high light my hunting area and pinpoint stand sites, i also always make a driveby and make a note of which crops have been planted in different parts or all of a field. then i print them and make a folder to carry with me in my truck. I hunt almost entirely private land, so if when i get some place and see another vehicle parked, i can leave that area for another hunter and quickly decide upon a different place. plus, during the off season if i am out and about and see a good buck, i can make a note of where i saw him for future reference.

Last but not least, i can switch over to topographic mode and print it as well, topos can really help a person to understand the lay of the land. of course down in the valley its pretty flat but the deer do use the terrain to their advantage, i see it as our job, as hunters to exploit that advantage

After I get off work and get done working out, I am going to go and chat it up with a few farmers that I have had permission to hunt on thier land in the past. I'm positive I still can, but I like to hear what they have to say about the deer movement in the area!

Sounds good. I just worked on some of my homemade stands and put my Moultrie back out. Ill give the camera till frdsay to see if its working, it hasnt been doing the best lately.

I have a moutrie game spy 40... The only complaint that I have on it is the strap was junk!!! The buckle snaped when I was tightening it, so I had to do a little sinch tie on it!!!

Yea i have the Cabelas Edition 4.1. They dont make them anymore as i bought it in 2006. But its taken over 4,000 pictures so i cant complain. It came with these bungee straps things that dont work worth a junk, so i put heavy duty bungee straps on it and it snapped one of the eye holes out [:@]. Now i attach it to the tree using my lucky shoestring that came with my DC-100 that i bought back in 2003 that doesnt work anymore.

I also have a Stealth Cam I450 that i bought in January. It ate batteries so fast that i bought th external battery pack. And like always the battery pack comes in the mail and the camera has a defect where it wont recognize it [:@][:@]. So i call Stealth and talk to a real nice lady who says that if i send it in, they will replace it for free :D. If the new camera works properly then ill be ecstaticbut if is had bugs too then im gunna fight them ;).
