Well we should at least give it the evening. Then we can set up a vote so that we can get our avatar made by this weekend hopefully.

Here's a pic I took last year while in Yellowstone, several of us watched from about 600 yards away with the Yellowstone River as a "safety net", as two wolves took down an elk calf. The giz came down the hill, from at least a mile away, and took a hind quarter ofelk calf from the wolf. The wolf tried several times to get it back and finally gave up and walked away.
One wolf had taken its share off to the left in the picture, in the direction they are looking. The whole incident from the time the wolves took down the elk calf to the time this lone wolf left after losing its meal to the grizwas an hour and a half.

Thats a pretty neat picture Don! I took a trip from the Quad Cities (Davenport area) to Bozeman Montana this year for a wedding. 18 hour drive straight through. Left on a thursday after work, and was back home to be at work at 6:00AM on Monday! I wish I would have had more time so I could have went to Yellowstone!

My son found a bed at the top of Beartooth, it was a beautiful view, seems like the temps were in the low 60,s that day.
