Nice Avatar! Loaded just fine for me. Trying to get into deer hunting mode right now. Been spending most of my spring and summer learing reloading and varmit hunting. Have a new Savage 12 in 204 Ruger that I have been having alot of fun with. Looking forward to this fall and hopefully take my first hunting "trip" with my dad. We will not be going to far, but something I have been wanting to do with him. Just spend a long weekend hunting and camping.

Jumpum and dumpum hasn't been on the site in quite a while. How long do we give no shows before we get an alternate?

I sent him a PM a few days ago, but still haven't heard back from him. He only has like 40 posts, so he may not be back. However, if he is just on vacation I would hate to give away his spot. If you guys don't object if we haven't heard from him byFriday I say we get an alternate.

Are you guys cool with that? -Ryan

Hello, just checking back in. Season starts here in Central Florida Sept 20th and due to Tropical Storm Fay last week, have not had a chance to get in to do any scouting or stand hanging. The WMA's are closed down in most of the state due to extensive flooding. Maybe next week will be able to get back in. THe other hunts I have planned this year is going to Illinois and Arkansas in November. Should be good. I got a good 142" deer last year up there.

Kill a pig! Although I didn't get to kill one this past weekend I did have fun doing that spot and stalk. That really got the blood pumping!

I started raising catahoulas back in the 80's and have caught thousands of hogs in that time. 90% were caught alive and hauled out. While I will kill them I will not go out of my way to do so. I guess I am getting lazy or old (maybe both...), but killing hogs just does not do it for me. I only kill them because they are so desrtuctive.
