I fly out Sunday morning and will be inn my stand by 2:00. I'm averaging about 4 hours a sleep a night. I jsut get too damn excited right before I hit the woods. My equipment is in emaculate shape. I'm going to bust a big slob this year! I jsut feel it.

134 3/4" 8pt - shot from about 5 yards. I wason the ground getting ready to climb the ladder and he was watching a doe in the honeysuckle. Found him 7 hours later and had to shoot him again.

Hell of a buck Mercs! Very nice. Ive been a handful of times, killed a coyote from the ground but hadn't seen the first deer until I took my buddy on a muzzleloader hunt yesterday. It was opening day of the early muzzleloader season so I just sat with him in a shootin house to see if he could get him one. I dont own a muzzleloader so i was just watching. We ended up seeing 13 deer and he killed a 120 lb doe at about 70 yds. I'm in a stupid wedding Saturday, opening day of gun season, so I wont be going then. But im out for thanksgiving all next week. Got a couple of bucks scraping and skinning trees on another peice of property, gonna go after em as soon as I can. Again, NICE buck Mercs, congrats!

Still got through Jan 31 down here so I'll keep trying. Havent seen a single deer in the woods while I've had my bow in my hand, saw 13 the very first day I took my rifle.
