Well, this is just friggin....stupid. It's going to be in the mid 80's again here this weekend. I'm supposed to be leaving Friday evening for another farm but.........I dunno. That's just freakin miserable. Hot. Sticky. Sweaty. Bugs everywhere. Deer don't move. What the hell is this?? August??? It's frustrating, that's for sure. I think maybe I'll just stay home this weekend but I haven't decided yet.

I hear you on that Mo. We have had 60's for a while now and I will be able to get back out Friday afternoon. 71 that day with 75 on Saturday and 79 on Sunday. Should be cooling down to the upper 50's by Tuesday. After this weekend I won't be going out until the 24th and then again when Matt gets home starting the 29th. Every year I think I can't possibly be more excited to go out for the rut and then every year the pull to the woods seems stronger. If it was me MO I would stay home as well IF I knew I would be able to get out the next time it cooled down. For me since I would have to wait until the 24th I will go this weekend. At least I have the almighty Thermacell.
AF you are a riot to have on here. We have to win this thing this year and every year so we can all be teammates again. This is my 5th season and this has been the most active posting year for me and also the most fun. I have met some great people but you are something else altogether. |

Thanks Dave. When I work I'm serious as all get out (if I ever get to work again!), but when I am home, I like to kid around and have fun. Relieves stress like no other activity. Drives my wife nuts! She is old fashioned and believes the head of the household should be uptight and serious all the time. After 30 years of knowing me, you'd think she'd learn to accept the things she cannot change, BUT NO!!!! Some day that little LED between her ears will finally start to glow and then she'll have to accept it.:D
