Well I am back....15 Does and one little 6 pt. is all I seen, of course, my area is totally screwed for about a month, they were logging on the property over, about 100-200 yards from my stand, still seen deer, but they were skitish (wonder why) but theres no way in hell a mature buck is within 2 miles of there at the moment. SO...I guess I will concentrate on the local bucks close to home for awhile.

Mahoning.......That "pimp" picture....you ARE the man, your woman looks even better in that pic, I don't know how thats possible, but she does. And those field pics do look WAY better than the 1st one, can't wait to see the pic of it mounted.

Hey guys, well it wasnt a total bust, I saw 4, 3 does and one lil buck, of course though the guy that owns the land is letting the neighbors ride horses on it, so they rode w/in 20 yrds of me and blew the deer out of the field....[:@]

Oh well, its better than seeing nothing, and the riders didnt see me[8D]

I'll be out all day tomorrow at a different farm! Wind is perfect for my favorite stand...

I'll do my best to get us back in front!

Good Luck Ed!! It wont be long I am sure!!

Dennis~~ Hey glad to hear it wasnt a total bust atleast! I figured you would stay and hunt this evening? I figured you would like Mahoning's "Pimp" picture!!!

I went out this evening and saw a big fat O!!!! I dont know, everything felt right, except the wind was abit heavy. It was still one of those nights when you are expecting the deer to come from everywhere! I did confirm something tonight that I have always felt, I HATE EVENING HUNTS!!!!!
I firmly believe if evenings is all I could hunt, I simply would be able to never WANNA hunt again!!

I am not being partial but I think evenings are so much better than morning hunts.Evening hunts you can get into your stand without making a fuss. You dont sit there for an hour andhalf waitingfor the sun to come up. Evening rock..........you will change your mind one day. Evening hunts are like women at a bar.............thelater you stay in there the better looking they become!

Mahoning, half of my enjoyment is watching the sunrise. My Grandfather taught me long ago to enjoy the time out there. He always talked about the sunrise after his hunts and since his passing 2 years ago, I've watched many of sunrises and climbed out of the stand shortly after completely fulfilled. Tell me you don't get a complete rush, when its just cracking light and you hear the steady 'chit', 'chit', 'chit','chit' of hooves thru the leaves and your heart's pounding with anticpation...

I'm heading out in the morning for first day. Not too hopeful. Only have about an hour to hunt behind the house and then the kids activities start for the day. But it's ok, they are all done with their games come November so I'll be putting most of my time in then.
