Got the camera the other day from the usuall spot and nothing worth reporting. Placed it back out in the honey hole to see some hard horns. I am inside of 26 days till the opener and things are starting to get crazy in this house. THE WASH cycles will start going this weekend with long soaks and outside hangings. The another wash, hang outside, and wash bin down. This is when I start to become a freak about sent control.

Hey guys 11 days here 10 in a hour or so. I talked to my wife tonight about my hunting nights she asked how many I want a week I said 2-3 nights and a morning or 2 she seemed ok with that. A couple of the guys that are in the wedding are hunting buddies and they all have the same plan as I do hunt in the morning then get ready for wedding. I found out tonight pictures are at 11am so I can sit in stand til probably 9am.

Hey guys, just got baack after all day of driving... All most had a big 4x4 mule deer but he smelt me and took off. It was fun camping, I brought my fly rod so I could fish and I cought a nice sized salmon on with it! He looked cool cause he was so red. I will get some pictures uploaded soon of the salmon!

Oh yeah and Solo... The Umatilla unit is a little dry but if you go down to the next unit thats where I almost got a BIG mulie! there are also TONS of elk in the unit to!

ya I had heard that area is nothing but Sage and tumble weed. Basically a Desert. Your fellow Oregon'EBulletHoleBailey shot a 130" Blacktail....did you see that? I guess a 90" makes the P&Y book, so that's a monster, scored like 180+ with the white tail scoring sheet where using on here...thats crazy.

Yeah that buck was shot where they feed em pig food and all kinds of crud. So no da he's gonna get bigger cause most bowhunters don't hunt blacktails like that. I am hunting where the bucks never see people other than meso it will take me a little longer, but I will get the job done! Even if Bullet Hole Balieys buck is bigger it won't be nearly as rewarding as getting a wild buck.

The only wild buck he shot. I guided him on and I was a little mad when he said 3 bucks in 3 years and didn't say anything about me getting him that buck. That buck should have been my deer. He'll get a buck in the first few days of the hunting season untill the people sell there property.

Sounds like a good time camping John. Cant wait to see the pics!
It's neat to read your posts about blacktails and mulies; because living
in the east I really don't even think about them;is that the same way for you and whitetails or do you get to hunt them also?
