Joey, he's freakin gorgeous! I hope to see you holding that rack for the camera!

Dumb question I know but.....if one of the higher scoring bucks presents itself, shoot or hunting exclusively for this one pictured above?
I'd shoot without hestitation. There are some other really great bucks out there this year...I actually have some history withothers too, but not as much as this one. These buckshave a range of a few mileandgeton property I don't have access to, which makes it tough to target just one buck.

Here's another buck from last year(2007). Have a few pics of him from last year and this year. He's about 10 yards from the stand in this picture. Unfortunately he travels a lot as well. The neighbor got a picture of him this year already. But, I'd be excited to have him in my sights.

WOW!! i need to move to KS!!!

those are some AWESOME bucks!!!

i find it somewhat funny how some states have different "standards" PA is slowly changing, but the other PA guys know...something like those bucks used to be practically unthinkable. even still, a 2.5yo buck to ME with a typical-large rack for 2.5yo is impressive and something to be super excited over...veryyyy rarely do bucks make 3.5 or older in my area...though it seems the last few years we been getting a couple that somehow survive...how i dont know...

heading home now...4.5 day weekend for me! lots of bow shooting, probably groundhog hunting and coon hunting! which also means probably spotting deer as we drive from spot to spot...i'll be in touch...id like to get a good look at the "biggun" living on my hill...and id like to see what else is out there...

I hope you don't. Holy crap! J/K I wish for anyone out there to shoot something that big. That would be unimaginable for me. Good luck.

well, shooting the bow went well...could be tighter at 20 and 30, but, boy id hate to be a deer...i really owe my groups to the Viper sights...i know once i get shooting more i'll really be drilling them...about time to quit group shooting at 30 before i start bustin shafts..so im happy...i know if the viper wasnt on my bow, i wouldnt be shooting this well, this quick...what did i shoot? 8-10 times since i been home and already close to shafting arrows at 30? id say im doin well!

groundhog hunting was good...got a LATE start..setup the rifle and carpet and all that...glassed across the pasture and there stood one...layed down and got in position...325-350yd shot..chuck stood up..crosshairs on the head...WHAM! red mist filled the air...was no surprise when i went over later to find 1 well placed bullet in the head! had a pretty recint wound to its foot...pretttty sure i hit him last week

coon hunting was good..just me and mans best friend..it was hot, i swallowed and inhaled more bugs tonite than i may have done in my whole life...but it was a good nite...saw something like 8 does(most likely does) and 3 others (most likely all buck) 1 looked like about 100" 2.5yo..nice and tall 14-16" wide from what i could tell...other 2 looked like they had small racks..

Rob, to answer your question about coonhunting scaring deer, well.....i had the dog treed 150-200yds away down the field and into the woods...i walked within...oh...150yds of the 3 bucks before i seen them..they let me get within about 80 or so before walking down the field away from me...never really spooked! fog was somewhat thick so it killed my light a good bit(why i couldnt see the racks REAL well..)

also drove past 6 deer(what i said were likely does) 2 on the left of the farmer road and 4 on my right...the 2 on the left were within 50yds and just stood up, let me shine them and didnt move...4 on the left snuck into the corn but didnt high tail it or anything...

so i still say coonhunting doesnt bother deer...id say they dont associate it with danger...sure they MIGHT be affected and i have no idea...but from what i see pretty much every nite i hunt, i dont think they are affected

UPDATE on my honey hole situation....talked to my farmer buddy and he said its his cousin(i believe thats what he said lol) and he got 5 bucks on trail cams in my honey hole...only 1 is legal..wouldnt say how big...but my buddy made it sound like he pulled the cams and is in another spot now...like i said, im not worried about it, and im still not worried about it...
