Went out this morning and had 5 does pass by at 15 yards, watched a young 5 pt. and 7 pt. do a little sparring. It was awesome but I didn't have my camera or a camcorder with me. Same stand I took my doe from Oct. 4.

Glad I didn't see anything I wanted to shoot though because as of this morning I am unable to pull my bow. Backing it down doesn't do any good either. Just when I get to peak poundage the arm gives out and my triceps and biceps shoot pain to my shoulder which I injured at work about 6 months ago. It hasn't healed and I am guessing inflammation. Hopefully my doctor and can take care of it and I am back shooting later this week or weekend. Good luck to everyone!!!!

Rob, ive seen your track record...i know from about Halloween on, that i can usually expect to jump on here and see that you put one down....i'll be waiting:D im loving the thoughts of this season being later....i get a warm mushy feeling when i think about it;) last year i didnt get to hunt the seeking/chasing phase, and my first year, i only got to hunt 1 or 2 mornings when it was half decint...i remember i had the wild fire training on the best weekend we had that year....so im pretty pumped about this year....so long as nothing pops up unexpected into my schedule...pretty sure after 2 full out training weekends we will have our weekends free...from what i see i think were done with weekend training for the semester...heck, after bow season, im bear hunting Tues and wed and then got mon and tues off in rifle season....

i have alot of hope in seeing alot more deer starting hopefully this evening....my legs are shot right now...hopefully they are feelin better by 2pm lol...if not, i may have to find somewhere closer to the truck to hunt than my usual spot lol....ahhh the thought of dragging one out of there just hit me...couldnt get help up there if i wanted it...where theres a will, theres a way...i can do it! lol...jello legs n all! with that system moving in, i feel confident the deer aughta be on the move...just gotta be in the right tree...

coug, take it easy! them shoulder injuries stink! i over did it my first year and had to lay the bow down for a few weeks...if i pushed it, im sure i woulda been in a world of hurt...

i am excited to get the chance to shoot a trad bow for the first time!! buddy shoots a recurve and just bought a brand new one...i think were gunna shoot wed if he got his string...ive always wanted to try it....

Quit whining about your legs, you are young. ;)[8D]But since we are on the lines of dragging a deer out with no help and having a tough drag, how are those game carts for uphill drags if you are on a good trail? My OH spot could leave me with a tough uphill drag and very far from the truck.

Beware shooting the trad bow…they bite. And once you are infected, the only cure is buying an oddly shaped piece of wood to fling arrows from for yourself. Good luck & beware. [:-]

Arrowed a 10pt on Saturday evening. Him and a group of bucks were out feeding on a milo feild at 150 yards away. I did some soft grunts and tickled the tines together, and eventually this guy worked over my way. He was drinking at a little puddle at 26 yards when I let the arrow fly. Made a double-lung shot on him and he went maybe 45 yards before crashing.

Not the biggest of a buck of the bunch, but i'm happy with him. I recognized this buck asone Ihave several game cam pictures of him from both in and out of velvet. Casi did a good job getting it all on video. It's kind of crazy to bowhunt over 50 times last year and not get a buck, and then shoot one out on the 1stevening this year. The 1st time i've ever done that.

Haven't scored him yet, but will be able to sometime mid-week.

Way to put us on the board with a great buck to boot! Congrats. Where can we catch the footage?

Thanks guys. I'm glad Casi has a buck tag so I can still get out with her for the remainder of the season, and have fun.

Rob, the footage will be going on our next RJ Video. Sorry I can't post that online.

congrats again Joey!!! thats a pretty awesome story!! and a beautiful buck!!!

rybo, i am young...and thats what keeps me truckin along lol...i just know when im older, i'll be payin hell for the things ive done lol...but thats life...gotta live it and make the most of it....training was long, tiring and physical, but im already confident i'll love my job, and what i learned will be very important in my line of work and will save my life and the lives of others....

i heard alot about trad bows having an infectious bite...im still pumped to get to shoot one...figuring wed after class we will go fling arrows....ive always wanted to try it...it just seems like that would be something id REALLY enjoy...i love compounds and the technical stuff and all that...but i also love the simple things...

never used a cart....old timer told me a lonnnng time ago, always walk uphill so your drag is downhill...i dont follow that rule, but, when im dragging up hill, i often think of what he said lol.....ive never made the drag out of where im hunting...ive never made a drag through the woods over 100 yds or so without hitting a road or field or something...im probably 500yds in the woods...and about 300yds down a gasline from the road...the woods is up a grade...could be brutal...but i'll do it...take the stand and bow out...shed some clothes, go back in and gather him up and take my time...made farther drags before, but its been on grassy SGL trails....

im showering up and heading out....BEAUTIFUL day....cant decide where to setup...probably just head back to the oak ridge, even though there arent any acorns dropping...might be a rough year on bigwoods deer...only place ive found acorns dropping decint was here at school and the soils here are practically wetland soils..im slightly worried...and if i dont see deer on the oak ridge this evening, im going to have to rethink my hunting up there...only thing left for them to eat up there is browse...plenty of that...going to try some light rattling and grunting this evening...i seen a couple young bucks last night that definently looked love sick....

Joey, thats a great looking buck, congratulations!! You put the winning team on the board first :D!

Although i didnt shoot anything this weekend i had a great time. 2 of my friends and i went to Macon, MO for a 3 day hunt. Started out slow on friday but on Satruday and Sunday the bucks were chasing the does like crazy. We've never seen them chasing and grunting this early. It felt like the 1st week of november. One of my friendsharvested two does and a nice 8pt. I had nice 8 pt come by at 30 yds Saturday evening but let him walk and never got a clear shot at any does. We're going back up in two weeks and I have a feeling ill put one down then. This place is LOADED with deer!!

Im also hunting 4 or 5 days before then at my parents farm. Good luck to everyone the next couple weeks. Im sure the rest of us will start putting some horns on the board here soon.

RE: Official Team Elowapi Thread (15)

another evening of nothing for ole mauser......

wind was terrible...swirling every time it would blow!!!! i wanted to pull my hair out....and it was blowing a little harder than i would have liked...no beating it, the wind is always a little stiffer up there...

sooo i walked clear out the ridge i hunted last time...went 150yds past the stand i hunted last time and right a bit...beautiful point and bench...grape vines, white oaks, and the transition area of where the loggers cut..20-30 years ago....just a picture perfect DEER stand IMO...soon as i setup i spotted a gray squirrel...i been hunting that game lands since i was 12 and i cannot ever remember seeing a gray squirrel...REAL weird area...tons of oaks, but NO squirrels...i only ever shot 1 fox squirrel up there and 1 red...seen a couple more reds through the years...but just NO squirrels...i dont know why..its perfect squirrel woods...so that got me pumped....

last 20 minutes of light i hear serious crunching...i was calling every hour or so...it was too late to be turkeys...sounded like a group of deer...then i thought for sure it was a buck scraping and rubbing....i grabbed the grunt tube trying to get him there before light faded...maybe 50-60yds just outta view...i thought. i must spotted 3 or 4 more gray squirrels lol...

beautiful evening minus the wind...surprised that most trees are bare already...guess i missed it :( got pretty dang chilly...was kicking myself for not wearing my colder weather gear...any colder and i woulda been COLD

wont be long now....im pumped to get back home Halloween weekend...

tomorrow looks like a bust....11-21 mph wind with 31mph gusts...definently sleeping in...maybe thing will die down and i can get out for an evening hunt....

RE: Official Team Elowapi Thread (15)

drhntr178 - Good to hear you're seeing the bucks chasing doe's... Sounds like you have a great spot.

mauser - I hear ya on the wind... it can be a pain to hunt in, especially when you're hunting the wind. I'm not sure if you have many conifers around your area, but I like to hunt those on the windier days if possible. Especially if it's cold and even a blizzard outside. Those deer like to hunker up next to those cedars on those types of days.

Cougar - Hope everything checks out with your shoulder. Good to hear you're seeing deer.

Rob - Sounds like you have plenty of time in PA to find a good one... good luck!

I went out with the wife last night, and saw just one deer... but boy it was a nice one. Wouldn't come closer than 150 yards, but got some good video of it. I have a game cam pic of it in velvet. It'd be a great buck to take. It's tough to tell fromthe picture but he's pretty wide& a typical 6X5. It's raining today and is supposed to rain through Thursday, which limits access to that spot. I hope she can get a crack at him this weekend.

Hey guys,

Sorry i have not been around much. I have so much work with school and my job and trying to hunt as often as i can.

Have sat onlya few times and seen deer just about every time. Was out hunting with the gun for a doe only zone t hunt. Was great to get out there. I got a small doe. Was able to do some scouting then. Found my bow stand there were two really nice fresh scrapes only 9 yards off the tree i am sitting on!!!!

The bucks seem to be responding to the grunt call and will soon try to tickle the horns.

Keep yall up to date.

Good luck and nice work so far!!!!

RE: Official Team Elowapi Thread (15)

i hear you on the coniferous trees Joey...i go there in search of pretty much ALL game in foul weather...theres only 1 block of coniferous trees on the SGLs that i know of, CRAP...theres 2 that i know of now that i think about it...1 is close to my spring gobbler spot...its honestly probably too far to drag out alone...exspecially bow season carrying the stand and gear...i carried a turkey outta there and its just a long hike...i dont mind the hike, but dragging a 150lb deer plus my gear out, im looking at many hours...just usually better deer hunting closer than that...but i just thought of the other one i know of, and i wanted to hunt it once the leaves fell off...forgot about that because i tagged out early last season...found a dandy lookin point next to the thick stand of hemlocks..i just needed the leaves to fall so i could see..pretty thick point...may have to hit that soon...

i didnt make it out at all today [:'(] i dont mind rain...i dont mind cold...but i dont do heavy wind...ive had some rather close calls already in my life with being in the woods in windy conditions...i just wont be in a tree and try not to be in the woods period when its anything more than breezy...i remember one night when i was real young coonhunting with dad...windstorm came and trees were blowing down all around us...i cant remember where we went for saftey...but i think dad pretty much laid overtop of me...i was probably 6 or 7...theres been a couple other times that were pretty similar...just no reason to risk it IMO...

thursday is lookin like my next day out...buddy keeps talkin about going to his camp(where i killed mine last year) we'll see what he decides...if weather was better yesterday and today, i woulda went up yesterday after class....deer up there seem to respond to calling prettttty dang well, and seem to get froggy sooner...i cant explain it...its overrun with doe compared to anywhere else i hunt....

keep at it guys!!! 1 down, 9 to go!!!

I hope to make it out today & tomorrow after work. Friday I am hitting Ohio, and Saturday hoping that it doesn’t turn into a washout here in PA. Sunday it’s back to Ohio. This is the time of year that every free hour I have I am going to do my best to be in the woods.

As a side note, while shooting in the yard last night, I decided to screw on my Magnus stingers to see how they flew because I’ve been having a lot of issues getting my thunderheads to spin true lately. Boy was I impressed. Perfect arrow flight. Don’t get me wrong when my T-heads are properly aligned I get perfect flight from them too. But my truest spinning heads go into my quiver, so my practice ones are a hair off. It just seemed like the Stingers flew even better than I could imagine.

Missed my first sit of the year last night, but it was too windy. I wasn't up for it, plus I needed to change out the rear shocks in my truck (boy that was fun[:@]). Tonight I may try a crab apple spot, or I'll be in my typically morning-used stand in the pine thicket near the food plot. I feel I should be in the coniferous areas with the heavier wind gusts we're having.

Edit...a CRAB apple tree, not a CRAP apple tree, lol:D

Matt you'll heal quick, you are young.

I saw a shooter last night guys, nothing crazy, a solid 125-130" 10 pt. He was 45 yds and would not respond a lick to the can call.(I had forgot my grunt in haste[:@]) But I don;t think he'd have went for that either. All I needed was 10-13 yards closer and I would have shot, being he was a calm deer standing in a field.

Back out this evening.

RE: Official Team Elowapi Thread (15)

Matt, that's rough, but like Ryan said, you will bounce back in no time. Keep it rested, so you still have time to get out some this year!

Saw 6 last night come into the plot again, but I was well south of it in my pine grove stand. We had a strong N wind, so it's the only spot I felt comfortable with in that wind. The 6 doe were pretty spunky. They were chasing each other around the plot, kicking at each other, etc. It was great to watch.

Looks like a wash for Saturday. Raing starting Friday night and going through Saturday. 2"+ likely. Looks like tonight may be my last sit until Monday[:@] We have an East wind tonight, so I'm not sure if I should try the crab apples or the food plot.

take it easy blue...like the others said, rest it up and you'll be back in business quick...

sounds like a goodun in my book rybo!!! always nice to see a shooter!! good luck!!

matt, sounds like another good sit! you see a pile of deer!!

heading to the state game lands again today....i gotta figure something out....i thought last year i was onto this "big woods" hunting stuff....but havent seen anything yet...guess ive only been to the oak ridge twice...last year i seen 2 deer the only time i sat there, a small buck and another deer i bet was a buck...i cannot remember when it was...i thought it was right about this time of year...im just not seeing any fresh sign there...and theres no acrons dropping...i gotta move. those fresh rubs in sept had me fired up, but theres only a couple small rubs that popped up after that...and none ive noticed my last 2 times there...

going to have to think a bit..and look at the topo and ariel again right now...i just dont have a clue what they may be feeding on since the oaks are about as bare as could be....do have another oak stand next to a thicket that looked promising last year...i only hunted it once when it was about 90 out...maybe i'll hunt it today...

getting slightly frustrated, but know i got the last 3 weekends to hunt at home...not loosing hope...just frustrated with hardly any time at home so far and only seeing 3 deer this season lol....

RE: Official Team Elowapi Thread (15)

Mauser, keep at it. I know what the limited time in college is all about. I hunted much less than you do in college, and I thought it would kill me, but in the end, it's so worth it. You will come out with a great education, hopefully a great job, and you'll be back in the woods much more regularly!

Tonight was probably the most fun I've had on stand in a while. I decided to sit in my ladder stand on the NE corner of my food plot (same stand I took the pictures from the other week). Actually, rewind that. I was PLANNING to bring the climber to the NW corner because I've been noticing them entering from this side much more regularly. So sneak in around 4:30, and sure enough, two doe and a few turkeys are already in the plot! I've watched this plot intently this season, and no deer or turkey has entered before 5:30, so I have no clue why they were there that early[&:] Anyways, I thought the hunt was a bust, but I decided to hike the climber back out to the pasture road, and loop around to the NE ladder stand (I can get in and out of this location almost dead silent using the bare patches on the tractor road as "stepping stones").

I got in around 4:50pm, and settled in. I get hit with direct sunlight for the entire duration of the sun setting, so I stayed quite warm. Anyways, about 5:30pm, here come 24 of my pet turkeys, lol. These guys come in every day from the same spot, walk in the same direction, and exit the plot in the same spot. I hope their pattern holds until Nov.1:D While the turkeys were feeding, here come 7 doe and yearlings out just west of me (in between where I was going to hang the climber and where I was). It was neat watching the doe and turkeys feed side by side. Every time a few turkeys would play fight or bat their wings, the deer would just watch the show. I even saw a hen and a yearling doe feeding right side by side. The whole time, the does stayed just out of range (I think...again my yardage estimation skills are terrible). However, shortly after the turkeys exited, I heard crunching behind me, and the group of does were looking intently at the source. Slowly a small spike came down the road that I walk in on, and the second he hit the plot, 4 of the 7 does BOLTED...lol. They knew what he was after, and they didn't want any part of it. He then started to chase one of the yearlings out of the field with his nose to the ground grunting the whole way, lol. The remaining three exited to the west just as light faded, and I got out undetected. I'm debating whether or not I should hunt there again tomorrow, but bring the climber back in and try to hang it one more time. What do you guys think?

Oh yeah, I also bought a Nikon 440 to help my rangefinding abilities:D

RE: Official Team Elowapi Thread (15)

i know it'll all be worth it Matt...just gotta keep that in my head...i'll be fine if the weather stays like it is the last 3 weeks...i am lucky to get out a good bit even though im in school taking 18 credits...

sounds like you had a pretty eventful sit! i'll be looking for turkey pics next saturday! (think its next sat...)

i FINALLY seen a deer on the game lands this year...i decided to head down below the oak ridge i been hunting...dad and i used to see many wall hanger bucks cruisin through there when we were fall turkey hunting...the last couple years the canopy closed and ferns were literally waist high...it was nasty...but decided i had nowhere better to go so i decided to head there...

on the way there i found 2 HARD trails crossing the game lands path i walk in on...figured heck, id check it out...they will pretty much lead to my spot, just a bit farther through the woods...windy so i didnt fear spooking any if i went slow...bought some estrous doe urine from a deer farm in PA at a store on the way...got on the trail and threw a drag down behind me..though its a bit early i figured it cant really hurt...and ive heard of some spunky bucks like Matt seen this evening...

found a real thick little bowl...some nice rubs and trails...most deer sign ive seen up there this year...but nothing to write home about...followed the top of the thick stuff around to my spot..didnt see anywhere that looked better to go....finally it makes sense WHY we seen bucks cruising through there so many times in the past...its between 2 bedding areas...

i walked around a bit with my drag after i found my tree and hung it up and setup...

wind was howling...cutting right through me cold...couldnt hear a thing...

when it would stop once an hour or so id hit the can, grunt and rattle just trying to make somethin happen...right about 6-615 i put the calls away after using them...5 mins later or so i looked behind me to the right and caught movement...here he comes! i thought....it was cruising..not running but not feeding...TINY looking deer...but i could take a doe if i wanted (wouldnt because deer are few and far between) but it kept going away from me...dont know if it caught my movement and started to get outta there or didnt like the estrous or what...i hit the can and grunnted softly when it stopped just almost outta view...i could sworn when i hit the can i saw it bolt but i dont know...

atleast i seen one lol.....that dang wind, who knows how many mighta slipped by behind me lol...coulda been a whole herd infront of that deer...figuring it was probably a button buck and mom kicked him out real recently...but i dont know i couldnt even get the binos on him..

i'll be sitting there the rest of the season when im up there and the wind is right..can really hunt it with any wind if i position my wind out of the bedding areas....now that i realized WHY bucks use it im kinda excited again lol...didnt spot any sign in there, but i really cant remember ever finding sign in there...a few rubs and maybe a scrape but i think i found them during the rut...

no hunting till...monday evening or tuesday for me....training again this weekend...good luck guys!! looks like a wash out for us PA guys saturday...

Joey thats a very nice buck you shot, congratulations!!!

Good news on my shoulder, well at least my arm. Started on anti-inflammatory meds and the pain has subsided from the upper arm. Shoulder is a little better, but it doesn't bother me when shooting now. Had to lower the weight on my bow a bit, back down to 65 lbs. now. Anyways, I should have my butt kicked for not hanging a stand near where I saw 5 bucks the first week of bow season. Saw 4 in the same area yesterday and one is definitely a shooter and another one is iffy. Had to use binocs from my stand as they were clear across the bean field. I am off next week so a stand will placed in that vicinity though it will not be my first and most popular set.

Good news Coug!

Last night's sit produced one lone deer at dark. Even too dark to tell buck/doe.

Today I am still up in the air I have to check the weather & the storm arrival predictions. If it won't be hitting my OH, spot until after dark, I'll be there. If it's forecast to still hit during daylight hours, I'll stay in PA.

Mauser, the western part of PA may catch a break for tomorrow evening with rain clearing out. We will probably be able to sleep in though. ;)
I guess if any good thing can happen with this rain tomorrow is that it may lessen the amount of early ML & Sr & kid rifle hunters out there stirring things up.

RE: Official Team Elowapi Thread (15)

good luck ryan....

i was thinking the very same thing about a saturday washout....i have no problem with them hunting....but, i wont lie...it does kinda make me happy that it'll be raining...exspecially in ALL my spots...i really cant afford to have a doe taken....my spots in 2B are rifle zones...the first couple years of the LATE rifle doe season, and early seasons just killed a pile of the deer....and my spot here at school is on game lands....this week ive seen more vehicles than ever....im hunting some very DEER type woods and just not seeing sign...i know the herd is hurting....i know the place prettttty well and know where i can typically find deer sign...its just not like it used to be...

not complaining...i like seeing more antler...but id hate to see a saturday massacre in any of my spots...

i dont get to hunt saturday at all....i hope a giant black cloud sits over my honey hole at home ALL day...just to keep anyone that even thinks about hunting there, from hunting there lol. im not selfish :D but the next 3 weekends gotta be clear weather...:D

Well, I won't be going out tonight, and most likely at all tomorrow (evening will be a wash, but tomorrow morning might be light enough I will try it, but probably not). I'm going to the movies and to spend some time with the fiance tonight and tomorrow before she heads out to Hazleton for another Pharmacy rotation for 5weeks. I can't wait until we can buy a house and actually live together[&:]

I just feel like I have a good chance the next 3 weeks. I'm seeing a lot of deer, I'm rotating the spots enough that I know I'm not overhunting, I'm not getting busted, I'm careful with scent, etc. That, and I KNOW where the doe are frequenting, so I'm just hoping I can finally make it happen this year. I've already had two bucks well within shooting ranges. Last year, I only SAW three bucks...only one of which was in shooting range, so hopefully things are looking better. Good luck to you guys tonight, and those who brave the weather tomorrow.

Noting on last nights sit, I was pretty shocked. THe winds kicked up and got nasty, I skipped this morning due to the rain, but once it tapers off I'm headed out. Not sure the plan yet, the winds are supposed to be kicking, we'll see.
I do intend to make it over to OH for tomorrow morning too.

sounds good pines!! good luck!! keep us posted!!

rybo, the wind is killin me too...when ive got out this past week or so....

....i knew that rain would keep most everyone out of the woods this morning....it did clear out for the evening...but id venture to imagine that most of the "weekend warriors" found better things to do for the day than chase around the few does that are left with their smoke poles...

im all sorts of pumped up right now....last day or training is tomorrow(for now...not for good) i THINK i got a good spot and plan at school and hopefully 2-3 days to hunt it this week....and finally get to hunt at home this weekend finally!! i sure hope that 4pt half rack doesnt walts on through....id like to hold out....but dont know if i can pass a 2.5yo twice...id just rather kill a 2.5yo with my bow than any deer with my rifle....i'll try to hold out...i really want to...its just gunna be hard...i know if he had both sides i wouldnt think about it....which makes my gut say "quit bein picky and greedy and choosy" but then the other side says WAIT, hold out, the seeking and chasing is gunna fire up...i got a couple spots that seem promising for that time of year, and i dont LEARN by shooting...i'll try my best to hold out...but i might...it will be a trophy to ME and a sense of an accomplishment...we'll see....maybe he wont even come back through

also pumped because i was at training today and my phone rang....

this guy is DONE!!!

quickly seen the taxidermists name (yes hes programmed into my cell! lol) so i had the time and answered...hes done but gotta dry....so hopefully friday or sunday i can pick him up!!! he said hes drying good and quickly so it aughta be ready to go!! (i know some of you may look at him and wonder why on earth someone would mount a buck that size....he was my first bowkill...and my 3rd buck..and my largest...just felt "right" to me...he will always be special to me...no regrets what so ever...im pumped to get him back!!)

Nothing while in stand tonight, saw a nice buck & 3 does cruise past while I was getting dressed at the truck. Wind was dead wrong for me to hunt that side of the road. I thought i might at least be able to pick off one more doe before this week(where I'm going to be REAL hesitant to shoot one now)
I'll be hunting ohio in the morning, hopefully I'll see something over there.

Eh, it's ok if that's what happens. I just wanted them to seal the big ten (which as long as they stay healthy they will), and get a perfect season. The BCS is so messed up, I wouldn't expect them in it anyways. I was just tired of people saying PSU was so much worse than OSU. Texas isn't out of the woods yet, either...TT plays like they did this week, and Texas will fall.

Anyways, how did you make out today?

I didn’t see a deer all weekend. Both states. [&:]

The only days I will get out after work are tomorrow and maybe Thursday. But then starting Friday it’ll be 6 straight days in a tree, all day everyday until I get one. :D

The only day besides Sunday that I didn't crawl in a tree was Saturday evening in the rain. I worked the morning.

So I work Mon, Tue, Wed then off for 2.5 weeks. Tonight starts my final 2 weeks in PA then 1 week in IL. I'm confident.

no fear Ryan and Rob....i got confidence in both of you!!

im heading out now with a buddy...he hunts close to campus and im probably just going to film...never done that before...beats sitting in my room....i just know its windy here...so up where i hunt, i know its blowing limbs and trees down...ive been hunting there since i was 12...i just know the wind is always closer to double what it is here...i'll head up there tomorrow...colder, lower winds, maybe a litte snow or rain....and i'll be up there thursday as well...

then home saturday....if its a nice day, i might not leave my tree saturday...small game and turkey hunters will be everywhere...buddy might hate me he wants me at the farm by 1030 to turkey and small game hunt for a couple hours....i just think between the hunters and the rut starting, my best bet is to sit tight and wait...i'll hopefully have my turkey tag filled before 1030 anyway! lol the mornings i hunted up there so far, ive had a group of 7 or 8 come through...many times in 20yds....

good luck guys!!
