Hey guys, That was prolly one of the most miserable open weekends in michigan in a long time. Windy, rainy, crappy all day! Ive got a hundred acre parcel ive saved all season so im trying that out this weekend.
Yeah, about that doe, i shot her in september and didnt take any pictures, just took her right to the processor considering it was 80 degrees that day! but i still got tags to fill, wish me luck!

Glad you guys are managing to get out in the woods and having a few adventures. Keep at it - the deer will come.
I got to go to a nephew's wedding 350 miles awaythis pastweekend, so no hunting for me. But next weekend for sure.

Here is the doe i took last weekend. It was a nice size animal, but i had a loss on damaged meat due to poor shooting. My own fault, but what i do have will still eat good.

Good luck all.

Good luck all.

That gun has recently named the "Meat Grinder." It is a .300 Win Mag and i am looking to purchase another smalller caliber strictly deer gun. This one was purchased with the possiblity for deer or elk/moose. It works, but a little overkill.

The Meat Grinder?
I like that name ... I have a .300 Weatherby and it does the same.
Matter of fact, I'm gettin' ready to take it with me, to see if I can do some Grinding on a Monster!
Be back in a couple of days ...
