In OKLA. we can carry a sidearm when hunting hogs, but if it"s during archery deer we cannot. But I hunt hogs during dead winter and spring so no prob. I carry a ruger Blackhawk in 45 Colt. I load it with Corbon 240 grainers. Have not had to use it but I like knowing it's there.
