Default Cheapo Canoe stabilizers.

Requested I post some pics of my stabilizers. They make bowfishing and fly casting much easier. (even with a lab on board)

All built with 3/4 inch PVC and 2 swim noodles. If I was gonna redo it I'd put some T's in the noodles and integrate them into the frame. For now they are just zip tied on. I folded the noodles in half, and slid a section of PVC into each half to add rigidity to the noodle. I believe I put 8" of drop on it.

I attach it to my canoe with the same straps I tie it down on my truck, so no chance of forgetting them. Notice the cross bars; they way the straps are on, it can't slide side to side. I also think it's about 18" wide. HEY! I needed easy acess to my cooler!!!

I think you can buy all the parts for under $20.

USE GOOD PVC CEMENT!!!
