I hope tonight's the night. I've got good deer movement in both of my honey holes and I need to split time between them but now that I've seen the 2 big 8's I really want to put one of them on the dirt. Plus on Saturday my buddy shot at another nice 8 that wasn't either of the one's I saw! Keep your fingers crossed!!

Well neither of the big 8s from Monday showed up yesterday evening. I did have a smaller 8 come in though. He was still in full velvet. I watched him for about 10 minutes debating on wether or not to shoot him. When I decided to take him was about the time he decided to turn and run off. He came back about 10 minutes later and was coming down the hill. The other 8s are a good deal bigger than him but I have never had a chance to shoot one in full velvet so I decided to shoot him when he stepped back out. He was about 3 yards from stepping out in the open when a damn fox ran by and scarred him off!! Grrrr [:@] I saw 5 deer yesterday so I continue to see good numbers!! Anyone else?

My buddy and I have only been hunting in this small spot for about 2 years. But passing on the smaller bucks last year has made a HUGE difference in the quality of bucks we've been seeing this year. We've seen 4 different shooter 8s in 3 trips there. It just goes to show...let em go, let em grow!! I'm excited about the season!!!

Wow Frank Im so sorry to hear this!!!!! My Dad just had cancer removed from his face last Tuesday so I know the feelings you are going thru Brother. You hang in there and be with your Dad, He'll need your support thru this. But always remember we are here for your support. Keep us posted. As far as replacing you I think we should hold on I have faith that all will turn out well. You take care and your Father will be in my thoughts and prayers. Greg
