Well i'm all ready to go out and kill some deer for us. My season starts in about 12 days so it won't be long. Got all the stands up and i take some shots with the bow atleast once a week with the broadheads on at the deer target. So i'm all ready to go out and make a good harvest. Any of u guys got corn fields around where u hunt??? If so when did they start picking if they have yet.

Well guys I've finally recoverd from this strep throat and just in time. My season starts Saturday. I'm as fired up and ready as I can be. We've been in drought here all summer. The worst in over a hundred years. I kinda thought due to the conditions if I was able to find a hot oak somewhere on the property it would be a perfect place. I've been watching 4 nice bucks from a long distance for about a month now and the other day I went to where I had been seeing them and sure enough there was a hot oak with acorns everywhere with deer signs all around it. I put my last stand up right next to it. I hope it produces. I guess I'll find out saturday. The bad part is it supposed to be 88 deg saturday.

WELL I HAVE GOOD AND BAD NEWS, i got a doe tonight, but when i shot the doe the 8 point i missed, or at least i think was right behind her. But anyway i had her at 26 yrds and smoked her....she went 25-30 yrds and was done. Man i feels good to have a deer down and man can those Ross bows shoot!!!

Papa Ganoush I have about a total of 75 acres of cornfields on our farm and there is only about 15 acres of it left. Started in on it about 3 weeks ago. Would of been done by now, but the farmers grain truck broke down.
smky it sounds like you got yourself a good early season spot. It's the opposite on my farm this year.No acorns due to a late cold spell, so the deer are hitting the crop fields hard. The beans should still be in the field for the first week or two of the season and should provide for some good viewing and maybe a shot at a buck if he ventures through.

congrats bowhunter818. I passed up a 8,7,6,5, and a fork opening weekend. the 8 was about 15 inches wide but i know i can do better since we've been seeing a 10, a 10 point with a droptine, big 8, and a big 12 pointer.. I'm gonna go try and connect on one of them tomarrow night.

well guys.. one big 10 is out of the picture now.. the landowner shot it 50 yards from his house lastnight. The buck walked out right below my stand which i wasnt in it lastnight because it was pouring rain and i never wanted to take the chance of losing a big buck so i just stayed in the house.. I've been beating myself in the head all day nad probly all the way till i get another big one walking around agani lol..
