good news team! I was going to check a bear bait down the road on another parcel we own, as i was driving by one of our food plots i stopped and glassed the clover, and i saw him( The big guy my buddy saw) I'm so pumped right now. This deer is by far the biggest deer I've seen on hoof. Main Frame 10 point with what likes like a split left brow and kicker of his right g3. This dude is wide. I was debating weather or not to go put up another trail cam, decided against it, as to not disturb the woods where he hangs. Thought I'd share.

I hope you get a close look at him. I will be taking my camper to the farm here in about 2 weeks or so an will start staying down some before the season opens on the first.

I ran across this photo and thought you all would get a kick out of it. This photo was probably taken about 35 years ago and I haven't changed a bit. I am on the left. Dad is on the right and my little brother (somehow he's bigger than me now) is in the middle. My Dad shot this nice specimen in the Texas hill country. I know he was proud of this one.

sorry guys for not posting much lately. been house sitting this week for the parents who are at the beach. their computer is a lot slower than ours at home plus with working 12+ hours a day this week hasn't left much time for me to do or feel like doin anything this week. hope everyone is out there scopin out their kills for this year. i've been slackin need to get my butt in gear and start putting cameras out. goin to go to ohio soon and do some scouting since thats where i will be doin most of my hunting this year. also will be getting last years deer back i killed in ill. when my brother-in-law goherd1111 comes in next week. will be posting pics of it for you guys when it gets here. sorry for the long post just trying to catch you guys up on whats goin on in my area for right now.

Only 15 days until our season opens in Missouri. I'm taking my oldest son out today to hang a couple of treestands. I hunt on public land and today is the first day they let us hang them. I've rigged my mountain bike and will pull my deer cart with the 'goods' attached about a mile in for the first one. Still scratching my head (yeah, with a pot attached to it) on how to get to my other location. Might just have to pack it in. I hope my son knows CPR. I may just need it! After we get that done we will build a brush pile at another location for the pop-up blind that my son will use. Hope everyone else is as anxious as I am. My wife still just doesn't get it.
I haven't seen much out there buck-wise, but like I said earlier I don't have the time to spend scouting. Just have to go on gut instinct - and my gut isn't very smart.

Hi Teamster,
Do a right mouse click over my avatar, then 'save-as' to your computer where ever you want to put it. Then go to your profile page load that image as your avatar. IMPORTANT: don't forget to scroll down to the bottom and hit the 'apply' button.
I had to go into the original image, crop some of the border and then reduce the file size. It's about as good as I could get without going over the file size limit. Good Luck.

Hey guys, who wants to help pick a spot for me to hunt???
This is an photo/topo of the property I hunt in NY. I've been hunting this property since I was old enough to hunt. I know it very well but it's always nice to have someone else give you a different opinion.The brown out line is my boundry. The yellow areas are food plots and the red dots are tree stand locations. The wind is usually out of the north west. From looking at the photo and topo where would you hunt and why? Feel free to snag the pic and put "your" stand location in a different color.

Hey Team,

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Moved into my dorm on sunday and finally getting settled in, and my first couple days of class went well. I should be on here a lot more now that I have this whole college thing figured out.

I only have a 40 min drive back home, so will be going home on the weekends to hunt, also on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm going home tomorrow to bear hunt, my dad has been baiting, and its still getting hit, I appreciate what he is doing so much.

APJaws, I have a class now but will look at the maps in more detail when i get back, even though I'm not real good at it. I'll try.
