FYI I sent an email to Nick Hull on Monday so far no response..

He joined on 8/3 hasn't logged on since 9/3 and hasn't posted since 9/1
I'll give him till Monday and then we have to re-evaluate.

We can't compete with this field..down a man.

On the hunting side... Firemedic inspired me to hang my camera back out for the weekend.

I got some of this molasses coated corn from my local Hardware store, and set some out in front of the camera. Never even saw this type of corn before. So it will be interesting. I did see a flock of 18 turkeys on the way in to set the camera. If they like molasses, I know what I'll have plenty of pics of..lol

I saw my first real buck sign this morning.

A huge sapling approximately 3/4 of aninch diameter was just thrashed , it looked like the work of a trophy four point. []

I'll check the neighbor cam tonight, maybe move it to a more promising spot.

Yeah, they taste almost identical to whitetails Jim.

Just got in from glassing/scouting, saw 2 HAMMERS come out 30 yards from my main early season stand and feed into the beans. No more velvet on either of them. Saw about 60 deer from one sitting location, was a good night, they were definately frisky tonight.

Finally figured out how to get around the posting time out error. DONT use the "Fast Reply"

Went out to mark the trail to my stand so I can find it in the dark Saturday morning and found two of the landowners horses under my stand. I ran 'em off and man did they make a racket going through the woods. Reminded me exactly of the sound elk make when they decide to come barreling at you.

Gr8 - Don't worry about the sick time, I've got 3 months worth. Plus, I have the first two weeks of November off and a bunch of days the end of October as well. Weather is still gonna great here for Saturday (50 low -70 high). Big change from the usual 90 degree season opener. It makes me wanna go rub my head on a tree.
