So what does the term "eat crow" mean when you are speaking in a negativeor joking manner to someone? I always that crow tasted bad so thats why we would say that being smart alecks lol. Heck I'll try and cook anything once.

I've never had the courage to try it. Another board I look in on is www.crowbusters.com they have a whole list of recipes. [:'(]
Eat Crow ..I believe is like eating your words...Something you said that turns around and bites you..thus I had to eat crow. Humbley admittingyou werewrong.. It's never happend to me personally..:D |

RE: 10 - Official Team Germ Warfare Thread
Jim, He lives in Indiana, and while he loves to hunt..computers are not his thing, I had to struggle to get this pic via his brother in Wisconsin. I don't know if/when I'll see the video.
He's in with a group trying to make the video hunting scene. 6 went after bear 5 connected mostly with sub 200 lb bears, and the last guy missed. |
RE: 10 - Official Team Germ Warfare Thread
Do you guys bear hunt at your camp in Clarion?
We grouse hunt a place down there.I don't have my Gazetteer here but you go thru town and out the other side I think its 322,a ways out of town you pass a Penn dot hwy.depot on the right .Then we take the next right its a dirt road.Any of this sound familiar? Old strip mine on the right.Dead end road to the left. |
RE: 10 - Official Team Germ Warfare Thread
Heck Jim you just described every road in that area..yes 322 is the main road.
As for bear hunting we do a little..I've seen lots of bears up there but never in season. We cut some fresh tracks year before last in the snow, but fading daylight wouldn't allow us to catch up with the critter. I didn't go last year..since us non residents get hammered for an extra $36 for the tag..and limited vacation time it's tough. A couple years back a guy shot a 700# + monster just acrossed from our camp. |
RE: 10 - Official Team Germ Warfare Thread

RE: 10 - Official Team Germ Warfare Thread
I went to an land auction last night. A small partial of 8 acres..with some out buildings. But this is right smack dab in the middle of 2farms I can hunt. I could never get permission to hunt it from the guy who owned it.
Long story short..I didn't buy it. It went for 28,900 a pretty decent deal. But it should have gone for less (it's along RR tracks and has High Tension wires over the front part)this young guy was over anxious and wanted the land for a house in a few years and his opening bid was too high! But he is really nice we talked for a long while. He gave me permission to hunt it. It's got solidpotential..to be a hot spot, to hit a couple times this year..especially once the rut starts kickin. |
