Sorry I haven't posted since I checked in. I've really been busting my arse at work because I'm off for the next 9 days to visit my sister in San Diego. A little bit about me if anyone cares to know. I'm 29 and have hunted my grandfather's 300 acre farm since I was 12. I just moved to Rockville MD last year, but thankfully I haveabout 25 vacation days to burn by the end of the year so I'll be able to come back and hunt PA most of the season. I don't have much in the way of property in MD, but I'm going to get tags and try some public ground before and after work. Like I said earlier, I have seen several good bucks on and around our property, but I haven't scouted as much as I would like to because I'm so far away. Sounds like we have a pretty good bunch of guys here. I'm really looking forward to the season. This is also my first year in the contest. The name sounds good to me. It's good to hear from you. Just keep us posted as often as you can.
It sounds like a you're set up pretty good on your grandfather's farm. There's nothing like a PA farm fed bruiser buck.
And you are correct , this is a GREAT group here. We haveanexcellent shot at this contest.If everyone can contribute some inches of antler,we'll be in the hunt.(no pun intended)

Well,I have good news and bad news.The good.I finished getting two fall food plots ready last night.They were calling for a chance of thunderstorms so I took the chance and seeded them.We got lots of rain over the last hours.
The bad,I lost over 1500 acres of hunting land yesterday.I gained 100 acres the day before and lost 1500 the next day.The guy who leases the land sub leased the hunting rights to a coworker of mine.We tried to get him to lease it to us before.He always said no need,just hunt it.My coworker did it for $.He charges city folks $1500 a season to hunt on his leases.He only subleased 300 acres but the guy had to agree not to allow anyone to hunt on any of his property.On the brighter side of it.I did not hunt on very much of that property.He did have one 80 acre plot that I liked to hunt.The mighty dollar is killing all of the hunting in my area.In another 10 years if you don't have big $ you won't hunt in my area,unless you own the ground.I'm ready to sell my place and buy another.

Sucks to here but it is reality and is happening everywhere even in North Dakota
