Whats up fellas. Just came back from vacation. It's almost that time. I have 2 more stands to hang and I'm ready to go. As for the avatar, I'm gonna have to go with the new one.

Ben,
Thanks for being honest and a good sport. The majority did rule.

Guys, I tried to change my avatar, but it keeps saying the file is too large.

I know how to upload to photobucket and shrink the size and all that (done it many times), but for some reason it still isnt working.

There might be somethingwrong with the picture, or it might just be my computer not workin right (its probably my computer[>:])

But I noticed that nobody else has changed theirs yet either. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Icouldn't do it either. I sent a PM to Elkslayer yesterday.
I'm sure he'll fix it.

Any of those Southern PA bucks shedding velvet yet?

Saw a spike about 2 weeks ago that had already shed its velvet. I havnt seen many bucks since then, but they were still in velvet.

The acorns are starting to drop already here in se ohio.I need to set my trail cams on a couple of my favorite groves.I had pictures of nine different bucks last year from the one grove of oaks.

The oaks are starting here too. Some are rotten inside. I have a spot on an oak ridge that's dynamite when the oaks are dropping. I got pinned in my stand there last year when about 25 deer , including the 3 biggest bucks I've been close to came out at dusk. It was too dark to pick a spot.
Too bad, because I had a wide 10 pt. 20 yards away. It was just too risky. That was the first Sat. of Oct. and I never saw him again.

By the way, any idea why acorns are hollow and some are meaty from the same tree??

Oh yeah...no points for a doe. But if you can get her to grow a rack???
