Nice Doe's. Congrats! The weekend was really slow for me. Didn't see any bucks. But with the cooler temps coming in this week, and the bucks starting to rut, it should be picking up really soon...

Well I'm yet to see a deer with any sort of antlers on its head. Not even a button buck. I went out last night and saw 9 does. I know there in there I'm just not seeing them. A couple more weeks and things should start to pick up, I hope.

I've been scouting out some hidden public land area's nearly every day on the way to and from work. Haven't seenanyone elsethat's beenhunting it yetso I went to it for the first time last nightand spotted a Giant. I was actually walking on a ridge of a hill.. moreso scouting it out. Then I saw a deer with it's head down eating at about 150 yards on a nice open travel corridor between 2 ridges. After about a minute of watching the body through the binoculars he finally pulled his head up. Amulie-like 10 pt framed whitetail with matching deep-forked G'2s I'm guessing he was an easy 170 class. There wasn't anyway I could get any closer. I'll be back out there on Thursday, this time in a Double-Bull blind. I'm excited!

Thank you Momightymite, congrats to you as well on your Doe. By buddy caught a poacher shooting a button buck from the road today on our lease, he tried to get away, my buddy caught him game warden got involved This was the same creep i seen driving around our lease last season, he would start at first light and make laps until about 10:00. i thought i had him run off last year, i guess not.
