Dinner was great!!!

Great news I am starting the River Rasin CO-OP chapter here in MI. My Dad and Uncle signed on, and really only need 3 more properties to make a differnce.

36.5 yds

I range Mr. Mass at 36.5 yds tonight, yes I really thought about it. Do to CPR field being so thick I could not tell if I had a clean shot.

I saw 15 other deer tonight, I was bowhunting, but it is Gun season here until the 30th

You're getting close!!! He will slip up one of these days.

I went out this evening behind the house. I think too many neighbors were using the leaf blowers and chopping up leaves with lawn mowers. Lots of activity but no deer sightings.

Have to do our annual Paintball War tomorrow. I will be back bowhunting on Sunday.

Keep after him Gary.

No eyes shot out, but man am I ever sore and tired from chasing those youngsters around the woods for 5 hours or so.That sure is a lot tuffer than sitting in a stand and waiting for them to wonder by.

I gotta get in better shape I guess.

Hope everybody is stuffed and well rested. It was nice having a couple days off to spend with my
family and get a chance to sit in the cold (relative for us) and rain.

Again, you guys discipline always amazes me. Germ, that takes a lot to pass on the best buck out there
at that range. I think there's something I could learn from you.[8D] Sounds like you are getting real close.

Made 5 hunts (one in rain) - had 2 different spikes within 10 yards of my stand - one in the morning
one in evening (one was pretty intense as he walked all the way to me staring at me, finally smelled me
about 3 feet from my ladder, but didn't spook, just mosied off). First 3 hunts were slow, but last 2 (front
moving in) saw between 12-18 deer (some probably same deer). Kept waiting for a big one to slip up,
but its still not the rut here, although the bachelor pairs look split up (unlike 2 weeks ago).

After my early season bow disaster, I had to take a nice doe with my rifle to restore my sanity.
It was great to only have to track her 2 yards and gonna get some jerky, tasso, sausauge and
back straps out of it.

Looks like I will mostly be in baby mode for the next couple weeks.

Well the SOB was 5 yds from my stand tonight, I was on the other side of the field
He had a doe with him. I jut set that stand on Friday, trying to catch him coming out of the CRP. Here it is.

He was standing just to the left of this last tree. I have NEVER setup so open before. This is where UltimateCamo will get its test. I am as high as I can go. 20ft

See the opening where my dodge is, btw I drove and parked it there on purpose. Farm deer will tolerate a truck, but not a hunter.

I had to talk to the the neighbors tonight, at 3:30 PM they were shooting HP rifles down the river. One bounced of the water and hit a tree 40 yds from me. I went with the sheriff, not they hate me more

Hey Captain Gary, if thats where they are thats where you have to set up. I think your predator would work up there too. It would blend you into the branches in the background. Just don't move too much and you'll be fine.

And by the way, have you voted in Rob's poll on the gun killed deer in the contest?
