Just scored him and entered him. He scored 100 6/8. His mass and broken G3's really held him back, but I'm proud of him.
He came in around 9:00 on Sunday morning. He was chasing a fawn. When I first seen him he had his head down, so I figured he was the mother doe. After giving the fawn on more chase, he gave up on her and left her behind leaving on a trail that would give me a 20 yard shot. He started picking up the pace and had to give a loud baahhhh to stop him just before getting behind a tree and never getting another shot. He stopped 20 yards quartering away and that is when I released. Knew I hit him good. He went about 60 yards and expired. It all happened so fast I didn't even notice the broken G3's until after I found him. But.....we are on the board.

The rut seems to be getting under way around here.
Maryland allows this Sunday for bow hunting on private property.
My weekend is dedicated to being in the woods all weekend long.

well this is why you hunt in kansas!! The following pic is a friend of my brothers that owens a hunting lodge in KS the funny thing is the only hunting they offer is upland bird hunting, he holds off a certain area just for him to hunt on and obviously it paid off!!!!

HUBBA BUBBA Palmer, that is one huge deer!
Maryland is broken up into 2 sections.
The section I am in is only allowed one Sunday bow hunt per year
We also get to gun hunt one Sunday of the year.
The other section, mainly Northern MD is allowed more than one Sunday hunt per year.
I am not positive how many more but it is not every Sunday.
All of the Sunday hunts in Maryland are restricted to private property only.
Hopefully we will see additional Sundays in thenext few years.

that sounds STUPID!!!! here in nebraska we can hunt every day of the week the only thing that sucks here is that they make you stop bow hunting during rifle season even if you are hunting on private property!!!
