Thank ya elk, I love it and even though it has been said many times before by many other guys, your work is amazing!
On a side note, we got three treestand sites cleaned out today and checked my buddies camera to find 5 different shooters on it including a great 4.5 year old 5X3 that would easily got in the mid 140" range if his sides matched, I fell in love with his rack though and he is gonna have my eye on him till season opens.

My buddy has the memory card and he is going to e-mail me the pics. We sat in the Gator on the edge of a alfalfa field that the deer passed through after comming out of their beds and before heading into the corn. We had some brews with us and enjoyed sitting in there and staying out of the rain. We saw a bunch of doe and only one little buck. None of the big guys showed up lastnight but they were up there on Saturday. Season can't come soon enough!

Okay guys, I put a post in the bowhunting section with some of the game camera pics from my best friends camera this past week. Here is the 5X3 that I was talking about earlier, I am gonna have my eye on this guy.

BM, if your friend intends on hunting these deer opening morning then he's illegally feeding/baiting them. Don't forget the 30 day rule or is intent different?

Hey Rob, I mentioned it the other post but I'll mention it again here. The camera was set-up on the eastern border of the farm in an area that we don't hunt/ can't hunt. Our stands are located around 1/2 mile away on the opposite side of the farm. We have no intentions of going into the area were this camera was set-up, if we even hunt this farm, it is going to be on the opposite side around 1/2 mile away. That is a far enough distance to make everything perfectly legal if we are in stand and one of these bucks walks by (which probably wouldn't even happen till the very end of Oct. or beginning of Nov. as the bucks stay in this area until rut)

Jason, on a similar note, are you guys considered special regs? I know you are near the special regs areas over there and here you are now allowed to bait on private property. I don't have any properties right now that I think it would be conducive to drawing mature deer so I won't be doing it, but it is legal here now.

Hmm, that's wierd. It makes things too confusing having different rules for different special regs areas. I don't know how I feel about it. Not that I'm opposed to baiting as long as it's legal, but that have it so you can only do it on private property. I know that on public land it will create some problems. Just 2 seasons ago I lost one of my public land spots for half the season because someone was baiting so they closed it down.

There are a few rules different from our end to yours. THe buckshot use is another.
I'm torn on the baiting, but I agree if it was used, private land only would be the way to go. I think it would be nice for me behind the house, cause as of now most nights they stroll over to the neighbors who feed them[&:]
Other places I'd much rather hunt them naturally, but who knows if baiting would even mess that up?
