Well, some good news and some bad news. Good: I saw 35+ deer along with a couple 140-150's and and couple others over 100 in the field right by my stand. Bad: I didn't have my bow or any gear to try and get a shot. Man I dont know whether to cry or jump for joy right now!

Brandon my brother.. You need a bow if your gonna shoot them. Funny how many you see without a bow or gun in hand. My kind of luck is seeing more deer without a weapon than when I have one.. Next time Bud!!!

Man .... this waiting is driving me crazy , two more weeks and I'll be sitting in my treestand drawing my bow back on a nice eight point basket rack.

Well, the first hunt was a bust. The deer where I was hunting were totally nocturnal. I got on the stand both days almost a full hour before first light, and both mornings, I heard them movingby me up to about 10 minutes before I could see. There were three that walked right under my stand. I was, needless to say, very disappointed. Now I have to wait until 01 October for the AR season to open.

Hi LittleChief and welcome back , sorry to hear your disappointed but you shouldn't be at least you got out and tried.
It's not your fault that those deer wouldn't come and let you shoot them :Dbut didn't you have fun while you down there if so then your trip was worth it.
You'll have more time and oppertunity to bag a nice buck and a few does , the important thing is to have fun.
