Mine is f or BOWcephus Maximus with the OVM spelled out in the middle and a pic of a huge droptine buck snorting out a breath of steam! Let's all vote and get a logo in plce--mucho pronto muchachos!!!

keep in mind we need a name...and an avatar. the avatar can have the name...but doesnt have to..could just say team 31..or team 31 and our name...lots of options...i like the direction we are heading though...so you got my vote for whatever you guys choose...i may not be on alot for a couple of days. going shooting after work tomarrow...saturday is up in the air but busy no matter what...sunday i think im heading to a 3d shoot with some buddies...

but i'll be around..just dont let me hold you back from deciding...i like what you guys got goin on!

There are 2 choices, both of which are good ones.Ryan aller and elkslayer both do good work, and as soon as at least a few more give the ok, I will get with them and get us a few options to approve. I loved the pic of the antelope btw. That is one of my dream hunts--but Sakatchewan whitetails will come first.

I am headed back to wyoming in '09 for the third time.....I love it out there....I am trying to geta mule deer tag out there. too...........there is a post for people pimping therer services for avatars I beleive it is one of the guys you mentioned.

I'm still here just been busy at work so I haven't had the time to surf the net I usually do.

I'm open to any of the suggestions for names they all look good to me. At the end of the day no one is going to remember our name unless we kick some a$$ so I am focusing on the last 28 days of prep I have before the season starts.

I shot it up here in N Ga at some private land I get to hunt. It has more bear than deer---literally! I have taken 2 bears in teh last 3 years--didn't hunt them last year. That one weighed 225--200 is average for around here. I have seen bigger--but not when it is legal.

good job captain;) all seems to be going great. awesome.

i got kinda bummed out today. i found a little Christmas tree farm at the end of a dead end road...noone really knows its there. behind it is an AWESOME looking valley/bowl...not a huge strip of woods..but it leads to bigger woods on the east and a BIG set on the west...i REALLLLLLY had my heart set on hunting there. went back today to ask permission. thankfully noone was home...i would felt awkward. a bunch of archery targets in the back yard, and a stone with their last name and a buck etched on it....the big woods is open to hunting..and i can most likely park off the road and hunt there...but i dont know...that valley is where i wanted to be...and now i know he will be in it...


supposed to goto my girlfriends dads surprise birthday party...but i think we ended last night...i havent talked to her and really dont plan to...3 years down the drain though...so instead i will work on more land permission i been trying to find time to do and hang stands maybe...got 2 lock ons i want to hang...the rest will be hunted from my climber.

finally got to shoot 50yds with the bow for the first time ever. my back yard only gives me 40. i surprised myself. slammed 5 into about a 4" group...in the wind, 50 shots into my session and tired, and blinding sun in my face...felt good...i can probably shrink it too..wont shoot a deer that far...but practicing that far makes 25 look like a cake walk

I'm just messing with ya bud. I got a couple buddies that shot some 100 pounders I give them a hard time. I got lucky the only bear I ever killed was a 300 pounder. Bear hunting definitly isn't as easy as everyone thinks it is.

Bummer about the gf. 3 years is a long time together. Maybe a little cooling off may get things back in perspective for both? Anyway--good luck in the search for some land t hunt. I am bummed myself about not getting to go to SC. I missed teh entire turkey season because of work! I will not let it interfere anymore.

I also have hear backfrom elkslayer, and he said he is working on 10 at the same time,soit may require a week or so. I think Iwill go ahead and egt with Ryan Aller, for a comaprison anyway. He may or may not be any faster.

manuman...definently got to be a bummer not goin hunting...but the details of life often get in the way.

the gf and i...well...i think im done. long story short, i caught her texting other guys a couple times...always says they are friends she hasnt talked to since highschool blah blah. this time i caught her on "myspace" someone commented on her picture and i looked at his account and seen she left him some messages...she even CALLED him...so ya...i dont need that...i just cant believe it. for as much as shes with me or at work i dont see how she has the time for anyone else..she used to be here from like 7pm-3 or 4am every night...she would fall asleep and go home that late...i dont know...whatever...3 years does suck....but what ya gunna do?? theres nothing really TO do except move on...even if id look past what she has done, i still could never ever trust her...whats a relationship without trust??

hope to find me a couple new properties to hunt...but i dont know...it never goes well for me. every good spot is usually already heavily hunted...

did just look at my fall semester class schedule. man did i do good making that schedule. mon, wed friday i have 2 classes from 9 till 11am. tue and thursday i have 3 from 9am till 2 or 3pm..think a 9 and 10am and a 1 or 2pm class...so every mon,wed, fri i can be on stand..even tue and thursday if im feelin good about a spot or get great weather conditions. all that is up in the air depending on papers, studying, projects etc...but still a good amount of hunting time.... friday i usually drive 45 minutes home...but that still puts me on stand by 1 or 2pm at the latest...and all day saturdays..seasons lookin good. im pumped

Yo useem lik eyou have a head on your shoulders, and you are exactly right about trust. I know itsound trite, but it is definitely better to see what kind o fperon she is now, than when it i smuch more complicated. After all,isn't thatwhy youspend time with someone, to find out if they are suitable and a 'match'. You will find someone worthy of you and your own character.

You need to get some camo book covers, so you can take your books to your stand. Read out there, no temptation to steer you away from your studies unless of course the hoss walks by.

thanx guys...definently right manuman...thats what dating is all about...it took a while...but after this id say she isnt the one i want...i just cant understand her...talking to her now and she doesnt get that what she did was wrong and i dont accept it...i turned my head a couple times before but she took it too far...who knows how far she took things...but thats why i dont stand for that...im an understanding guy...you got a life long friend thats a guy?? sure talk to him once in a while...i dont mind...i got a friend that is a girl like that...sucks...3 years is a long time...but im 20yrs old and in college...theres lots of does in the field;)....not till after huntin season though....no time to start anything till then...i aint dumb..i got my priorities all lined up:)

wake...ive tried bringin my books with me. i never seem to open them. or when i bring them, it storms:eek: with the kinda schedule i got, i should make it out ALOT...just need different places to hunt now...school i am pretty much looking at public land. ive hunted public land all my life and know a thing or 2 about findin deer...got 3 large tracts within 15 minutes of school i want to check out for this season. all hold good bucks...we will see what i can find. i need to start looking at ariels and topos to find me some likely spots to save me time...i also plan on hunting one of my professors land that lives up there. she asked for people to come over and hunt does. she really liked me. i want to get my first bow kill under my belt...so i will gladly take a doe and get some venison in the freezer...here at home i got a couple good spots...but like always...the more the merrier..and im workin on it...

when i say im lookin for spots and scouting, dont be alarmed...i got ole faithful spots ready to rock n roll..just alllllways room for more spots...

well, i secured permission in my orchard today. finally caught the guy while he was around...been trying for about 3 weeks! he was glad to have me there hunting. says the deer are out of control. apples are dropping good already for the next month or so. last year i didnt get to hunt till regular season. only ever seen 2 sub legal bucks in there one morning. hunted a couple mornings and evenings in there. i dont think my chances of seeing a good shooter buck is too high in there...heavily hunted woods in the area and the bucks arent dumb. id like to take atleast a doe out of there, if nothing else. so sept 15th starts my early doe season...so less than a month and im in my stand!! get the gitters out of the way...hopefully get my first bowkill. i think earlier will be better in that orchard.

went back this afternoon to hang a lock on in there but there was a couple people out...i like to be low key. alot of houses around and i rather just go unnoticed....already plan on dragging out through the woods. good 1/4-1/2mile drag...but it keeps my hunting spot...no neighbors crying over seeing a dead bloody deer or anything...the orchard owners(2 older ladies) dont have to see it etc...they know im there...but i dont think they wanna see it....maybe it'll give up a buck..but i doubt it.

didnt get much else done today...got a 3d shoot in the morning tomarrow...

cant wait to be up in a tree....got to head back to school next weekend:(...summer just aint nearly long enough...but...its my second to last "summer" as i know it...this is my juniour year of college...its flyin by thats for sure...seems like yesterday i moved in for the first time...

ahhh i get around...goto school at Slippery Rock..i spend the week there. friday i usually head home to beaver county to hunt around here. then head back up Sunday...spend alot of time at my dads buddies camp in forest county and also at my buddies camp in Jefferson county...i will be bowhunting probably 5 counties:) also do alot of hunting in Venango county...



did well at the 3d shoot this morning...even though it poured on us. i didnt score 11 targets because i was rushing out of there..it was raining hard lol...just plain miserable. i know they were all 8s, 10s and 12s..

Slippery Rock is a stones throw from where I grew up, my brother went to school there.I went to lock Haven Univ. to get away from home that is where I met up w/ MATT / PA..........I love the deer hunting out there.. We had a camp in Warren county. Seems like we traveled alot of the same paths.............small world.

I think it may be a good idea to get to know each other a little better. My real name is Greg. I am a landscape contractor, live in Ga, and have 3 boys , 2 of whom hunt, and teh other will in a few years when he gets old enough. I took him last year, age 6, and he did real well sitting with me on teh ground. I want to be a fireman when I grow up!;)
