Winning this contest isn't about everyone killing monsters. The big thing is tagging as many bucks as possible, the year we won we had 1 moster in the 130" range but 8/10 guys killed. If we average 75" and we all kill thats 750" which gives us a real good shot at winning.

Seems like we have a solid bunch on this team from some good states.

As for captain, manuman gets my vote.

I like the latin name KIDD642 suggested, that is definitly unique.

I see Tucker is now in, so we are at 100%, which is way cool! We also have some awesome potential if these trail cam pics are any indication at all! I think the choice for captain is very poor;), but if that is as high as you want to aim, then so be it.Maybe we can compile everyone's choice for a name, and get a consensus pretty soon. I really have no druthers. I mentioned wallhangers, and there have been several others, so whatever you guys feel good about. Maybe we can all get real creative today, and we all post any thing that we come up with and then we can vote tomorrow. Let's keep up with each other and keep ourselves motivated. We need to drop the Autumn assassins in their tracks, dethroning them with a record score. Someone mentioned that we all don't have to take monsters to win, and that is true. A high percntage of contributions will do it, with some good ones sprinkled in there as well!;)

manuman sounds like a good captain to me...he took on the initiative to PM all you slow pokes and get your butts in gear;)(im a jokester guys..)...and was the first on the ball...sounds like a good captain to me...im always the captain in contests...id be glad to sit back for a change:D heck...i RAN and WON a turkey contest on another site...

i definently love the BOWcephus name...or i like the latin name...

could use Odocoileus virginianus hunters or something along those lines...like the maximus..but were not a bunch of big bucks..were a bunch of buck hunters:)

we definently need a good, not so common name...somethin catchy...original...

How about we combine BowCephus and Odocoileus Virginanus Maximus. We create a round logo have BowCephus curving around the top and Odocoileus Virginanus Maximus curving around the bottom with some sort of buck pic in the middle.

How abouta condensed version of Lefty's idea--Bowcephus Maximus--It has a ring to it, and is a little shorter.I like d the movie Gladiator, and Maximus was the tough guy, so we could be a bunch oftough guys.;)well--some of us, anyway(I am a jokester too Mauser!:D)Include the full version in the logo like he said, but our actual name a little shorter--just a suggetsion though. BTW, I'm still trying to get away to SC--definitely not going to happentoday, but friday thru monday is loking realistic.

I like the BOWcephus with just OVM in a ring. SO it would be BOWCEHPHUS on top of the ring and OVM at the bottom with a nice buck pic or pic of an archer in the middle....sorta of Leftys suggestion............I think we shoul dvote today o this so we can get an avatar made...........I hope the guy who did team "reverse the cusre is reading this so he can make us a cool avatar.

I think the Bowcephus name idea sounds good to me. Manuman, awesome job on stepping up to the plate, you should make a fine captain. Season begins for me Sept. 1st here in KY. Then around the last of Oct. or first weekof Nov(whenever I can get off work). I will be heading to IL., to hopefully fill my archerytag on a mature buck. Got to go, getting ready to come a good storm outside, better get off hear before it hits.
