I was thinking about maybe taking my 3 year old into a blind this year for his first hunt. I took him with to track a deer last year that my brother shotand I think he had fun with that. I thought he might get scared watching him gut it but he just said "thats gross daddy"

My son is anxious to get in the blind. What is weird is that he is still freaked out a little about the mounts...when they are on the wall he is fine but when they are at eye level it freaks him out.....My 14 month old is the same he likes them from about arms length..any closer he is not a fan[8D] looking forward to many good times in the woods with the boyzzzzz!!

my dad took me along all the time. I was like 3 when he took me so your kid will do just fine i'm 15 now and he cant keep me out of the woods. I'm going to scout in like an hour so i can get a big buck and help win this:D:D:D

Oh, I've got plans alright. Plans to blow your 'freak daddy' out of the water. Of course, anything over 45" will do that easily!!!!! But, then,allowing 45" for a spike may be a little generous--but what are friends for?

Nope. I have had to work every weekend, and will again this one. Next weekend is the Ga opener, and I will be in the stand, Lord willing.I talked to my wife about taking the family to Hilton Head, SC mid October, so I can hunt the SC rut--hopefully it can happen. If not,then I am going to relentlessly pursue the big 10 I saw last year, and then get in the Kentucky hunt in Sept---20th thru 23rd.

Sounds good, I got 18 days to wait. I don't have any trips planned this year but next year I got a few going. My buddy and I have a friend that doesn't hunt and married into a bunch of land down in Iowa that nobody hunts. We bought prefernce points this year hopefully we get drawn next year.
