Hey every buck counts and if you go back and look at past winners, it's not everyone shooting a slammer. It's all about everyone scoring. 8 of ten guys won the last 2 years. I'd love the to see 10 for 10 for all teams and we know that's not possible but remember, 10 90" deer would have won every year...it's all about scoring every inch. Shoot what you want to shoot for you and have fun, that's all that matters.

3 to one side here and in the last few years I've seen a tremendous growth of our age class. In the last 6 years I've tagged 3 3.5 year olds and 2. 2.5 year olds, one being on my birthday, the second to the last day of our season. Last year after tagging out I went out with a couple friends in my areas and saw some tremendous bucks. One in particular was an 8 point pushing 160's....a magnificient animal. I'm excited about this year.

I wish Massachusetts would subscribe to those rules.
How strictly do they monitor it?
The problem here is, most of the areas we bow hunt receive tremendous pressure during gun season. Usually, opening day, they drive it and shoot everything. A couple of years ago one crew shot 3 does & 2 button bucks opening AM drive.
last year they shot a spike in the area I took my 8 pointer. So, it is almost crazy to let anything with horns walk w/ the way these areas get hunted. Very unfortunate.
I would be afraid that if they did have the 3 point on a side rule here, the "bandits" would still do what they want.

I know stuff still goes on. One year I was listening on the radio, I was guiding and listening and heard a father call his father for his son to come tag a 4 pt he just shot. JR's. could still shoot 4 points. I jumped on the radio and condemned him for teaching his son such poor ethics. We had words and when I said we'll discuss it when the PGC shows up, they went silent....poor kid.
For the majority, I think it's working. There will be slobs in every aspect of our sport and life. I try, try not to let the minority dictate the norm.
Sounds like Mass does need some help.

Springcaller a like all your ideas so far. The name does not really matter to me it is all about having fun. Western MA Hunter we have the same problem hear in NewYork in the area's that do not have restrictions. I know lots of people that as long as it has one antler 3 inches long it is going down.
