I like the logo - MUCH smaller, and was wondering if it could be square but not rectangular.

Looks good.. Just needs to be smaller...

Shot a decent 6 point w/ no brow tines in Canada. Whopping score of 58.5". Came out right before dark. I shot him for an 8, but was suprised when I walked up to him. 70 yards w/ 7mm Mag. Didn't take a step.
Not what I was hoping for in Canada, but better than coming home empty handed.

5 days and counting for me!!!!!
Just found me some new private land bordering a 4000 acre state forest! The lady says that she can't even put a plant in the back yard without it disappearing!!!! And she says she's seen a couple big ones!!! More scouting work I guess!!!!
If I knew what a captain had to do I might volunteer!

I killed a decent little 5 pointer with my blackpowder Tuesday evening. I thought he was a little better but when I found him I realized he didn't have any brow tines. Shotgun/rifle opener is Nov 18 in most of the counties I hunt so I will probably wait and try to enter my second buck killed (if I get a second one) and hold out for something a little bigger. I will post some pics ofthe blackpowder buckwhen I get a chance. He probably only scores about 70"-75". Anyway good luck to all.

I think you could enter him now... and then if you get a 2nd you can have the moderator scratch the first one off. That was my intention. Got any pics of him?

I Shot a small doe w/ the bow last night. Nothing big... just a skip... but she'll be good eating!

Well guys, I'm officially big buck or doe hunting! As I stated earlier I was hunting state land the first 3 days and then to private land!!
About 2pm today I hit the woods for one last state hunt! Soon as I hit the state land I see 5 cops and a navy helicopters and then a police helicopter! I never did talk to any, but theywere grid searching for something!
Anyway, I decide I'm going to still hunt for the evening! I start slowly walking up a strip of woods between two fields! Walking a little bit, glassing a little bit. After about 45 minutes the helicopters leave, and the woods return to the sounds of nature!When Icame up to this thicket that's hard to see through I start picking it apart with my glasses. Next thing I know I see a ear twitch, then a tail flick. Then it takes a step and I see most of the deer, about 150yds broadside. I slowly step behind a tree and he turns and starts heading my way I get down on 1 knee to further conceal myself! Wind is perfect in my face.It stepped out from behinda tree at 30ydsand I let the 870 roar! My shot was a little back, but caught 1 lung and the liver!! It still went 300yds, but my freezer is full, and I'm happy!! I don't know the score, or have a picture, until tommorrow, but it's 108# spike buck with one spike about 8" and the other broke off at about 5", and about a 7" spread! So, I got us a few points for now! With any luck I'll tag one of them big ones from private land and this one won't count!!

hey guys, my 1st day of hunting, so far I saw a 6 pointer. I could have killed him, but I didnt wanna. I think he would have scored at about the 100 inch mark. I want something a lil bigger.

Hey guys
Not a whole lot to report here as of recently. Am heading on a four day hunt for mulies and whitetail on Tuesday, and will post results when I get back.

Are there any rules that the buck you enter, has to be harvested in your home state/province?
Or are you allowed to enter any buck you harvest, as long as you harvest it, its legal, etc.

Nice work Vikesfan! he'll be good eating! Anything around here w/ horns is a trophy! I wonder what they were searching for w/ the helicopters and police? Interesting.

I went to NY for the opener Sat... Could have shot a couple of doe the first drive of the day. They walked right into me before we even started. We moved a couple around, but nobody shot anything. I didn't go yesterday, but one guy killed a small spike. That's it.

Pretty slow. Another buddy shot a doe and a 5 point Sat & Sun.

Hey guys, managed to take this 8 pointer with a muzzleloader in KY. I just got done hunting the first season of IL but didnt see anything I wanted to take. The 8 pointer scores 101 5/8. Hopefully I will have better luck second season here in IL.

man, I shot at a MONSTER this morning and missed. Its AT LEAST a 10 pointer, Im pretty sure theres some kickers and stuff too. I saw it again this evening, within 50 yards, but I didnt get a shot. I feel confident that I will get this deer unless someone else beats me to it.... AHHH itll score 160-170!!!! grrrr I wanna go back out now but its dark!! haha

Funny part is I see it on the news, and it's was one of my buddies on again off again girlfriends!!!LOL

Heading off tonight for a four day whitetail and mule deer hunt. Hoping to have some pics for yu guys when I return!

BTW - as long as the animal is legally harvested etc, we are allowed to tag it regardless of province/state and place it in the conpetition?

Well so far nothing for me. I havent seen that biggun for 2 days now, but hey, 2 days is nothing lol. IF I dont get it during my firearm season, muzzleloader season is the next season for me. and that counts as firearm. I DID see a 2 pointer that I could have shot, but a 2 pointer? NOT ME. I live in Indiana, which is secretly the #5th state in the nation for trophies (or#6th, I forget lol). And theyre around here too. :) Im goin out in the morning, so hopefully Ill see one... Not the same property as the big one I saw, but I found a dead 154 incher last year on this property. And bigger ones have been seen!!!

Sunday is my last day. So far Ive not been able to get a shot ata deer. If I dont see one by Sunday, then Ill have to wait a week and go muzzleloader hunting.

Hey boys, well here is the deer I will be entering into the contest. A very rough score brings him in in the mid 170's - its all his mass, 6" round bases which holds almost entierly to the tips. Take a peek at the pictures, and I will do a thorough scoring of him later. Can post a story if you guys would like to read it too. Just getting over some food poisoning so I dont feel like scoring him tonight :S
