I went scouting Sat and to fill my feeders one last time before removing them. On the way in as I got near the feeder I heard a deer around the feeder. So I layed down on the logging road and waited. Hefinally went down into a soybean field. He was a good 8, but one that I will not take this year. As I walked further down the logging road to check some white oaks for nuts, I noticed something funny in the road about 45 yards staright ahead. I thought to myself that is a strange looking tree, the way it is curvered, then he cocked his head. This was a huge buck, Huge 8 pointer, I would say a 22 inch spread, with so much mass. I have seen quit a few other nice bucks around where I live. Come on oct. 1st.

Mizouhunter,
Welcome aboard. I'm new to this contest as well. I usualy don't see any bucks in the area I hunt until the rut. They took all the farm land around me and turned it into forest preserve. Most people would think thats great but it realy screwed up the deer patterning for me. Now the deer have to go about 1 mile from me to get to any kind of ag food. I am going to take a couple of does first thing this year. Way too many around here and nobody else shoots them. Good luck and keep the pictures comming.

Back from KY. I blew it on a 120 inch 8-pointer in full velvet. Gave him a nice shave job right across his back. I'll know him when I see him later in the year. He wont get shot then. Just wanted that perfect velvet Mount. My buddy ended up taking this nice 9 pointer in full velvet. We seen a ton of deer and had a blast.
