Hey guys, I am here!!

Hunting in Central Illinois, Livingston County. I have been shut out on bucks for a few years, so hopefully this will be the year!!

Rob says we need to pick team captains.

I say we should wait until we get a check in from the rest of the team or at least a majority, and I don't really care who it is or how we do it. I would say either the member that has been here the longest or somehow a voting system. Either way I don't care.

VA here. Opening day Oct 7. I'm not promising big numbers like you midwest boys but I'll try to be a base hitter and let you guys get the RBIs.

Blue Ranger I have a buck that looks nearly IDENTICAL to that deer. Except he is only an 8 pointer and may have a little more mass this year. But as far as width and height he is pretty similar.

I have a fairly good idea as to where he beds and feeds so mayber early season could be a good one for me.

Some more name ideas:

Spot on (Pick a spot and on the spot get it? NM)
Rack Rangers
Have a Hart (see, a hart is a deer and... NM)
Stick and String
We could name ourselves after some indian tribe but that wouldn't be PC and protests would follow and then we'd have to change it all mid-season....NM

Actually I am trying to think of some classier names than whack and stack or kill and grill. Something to do with the heritage of archery but I'm pulling blanks atm.

Hey all

Checking in its my busy time of year so I willcheck in from time to time gets closer to season I be on alot .

I live in IL and hunt Mercer and Henery and RockIsland countys . Here the 12 of Sept I leave for Co. for 2 ta 3 weeks of elkhunting . Cant wait to get to know you guys . Looks like we got a good team .

That makes about 5 midwesterners, and two east coasters. Good stuff. Can't tell from the handle of some of the other guys. Hopefullythey'll check innext week. I know I, for one,wasn't expecting teams until Sept 1 or Aug 31 at earliest, but I guess Rob got motivated.

Checking in. Sorry I did not do so sooner but I was under the impression that sign-ups were open until August 31st. Heck, sign-ups even started earlier than normal if I remember correctly. ;)

I have no idea on a team name at this point but think that we should emphasize the fact that we are Number 1!!

Whoever wants the captain duties can have them. I would say either Talondale, IL BOW MAN, or PABowhntr (maybe since he isa moderator as well)should get them since they seem to have been here longer.

I have no problem with captain. I check in about everyday. There isn't a whole lot the captain has to do, so it don't matter that much.

As far as the name, I have no preference. I haven't been able to come up with anything clever. Rack Rangers is good to me. But I would hate to give us a name with only 50% of us here.

IL Bow Man would make a fine Team Captain.
