Sat. saw two deer cross a field far away. Saw fresh sign in "the thick" but nothing standing in the tracks. Will be back out this Sat.

Well I've just about wrapped up my season. I'll be hunting with a rifle this Saturday (east of the mountains), which is closing day. Things have been real slow here deer-wise since gun season closed (west of the mountains). I had plenty of chances at a particularly stupid spike, and the does just wouldn't come near me, the big guy was close but not close enough. Well it was all fun. Hope you guys that still have a season left have a good time.

The last weekend of the season is coming for me. I am going to try and sneak out of work a few times this week and get out there.

For me, this time of the year the deer start grouping up and crossing another property via an open field and cross the road to where I hunt. I can sometimes get setup to head them off. I am hoping to do that here this week.

Way to go Bowhuntt!!!! You are having a stellar year. I figured you'd come through with all the other success you're having. Nice looking deer.

Well the season is over and I have yet another very disappointing season. I failed to even put any meat in the fridge.

As us Redskins fans are used to saying, Next year is the year!!
