I'm gonna go check out some public land tomorrow a friend of mine has been hunting. We're gonna set some trail timers and see what's what.

We're half way there! Sounds likeyou guyshave somenice bucks to go after, I wish I had more time to get out into my hunting areas to scout, but I've been real busy at work. I'll be hitting the woods this afternoon to check out a new spot though. There are some real bruisersdown the road from me here, but they're living onNavy property and nobody can hunt there. I just got my CT tags in the mail yesterday, Gettin Psyched!

Glad to see ya all! Looks like we are makling progress on getting everyone here.

I have had my trail cam out for about two weeks here at the house on a 50 acre been field that connects to 10 acre thicket that is conveniently 100 yards from the house. I have noticed however that latley I have seen far less Deer in the field than normal. Usually there are anywhere from 6-20 out there every day but seems like they are hidding......I am a little nervous.

Any way we have several other place to hunt both public and private. If anyone can get an Il Tag I would be happy to assist in setting you up on some public land where some nice 140-160 class bucks roam. I would say the typical deer here are 120-140 class.

Buck442, what all is involved for tags and license for an out of state hunter? I would love to hunt Illinois but can't afford a couple thousand for a guided deer hunt. Maybe I could return the favor with some Ohio deer.

Checking in! I appologize for being so tardy. Just being a goof. I'll be hunting in south central Ontario, Canada until Dec 31st unless I have an opportunity to take a good buck. There's also a big white tail that I've seen every year in norhtern alberta I want a crack at in the second week of Nov. Good luck guys!
