germ..i started using www.noaa.com . they seem to be more close to right then anyone else. weather.com seems to be a bunch of liars. i watch the 2 closely and weather.com is way diffrent alot of times. could vary area to area..but for me noaa is the way to go. i also dont go by what they say the wind is doing. wind can and will change when it hits trees, hills, mountains, valleys etc. sometimes you can go by them..others you cant. i learned its easier to drive to my spot and see what the wind is doing and set up accordingly. speaking of weather...better check it now and see if ill bother to get up in the morning. too windy out there for me as of right now. my spot i hunt it here is ALWAYS windy ontop of a mountain. if its windy down here in the lowlands itll be REALLY windy up there. i gota get out and work on a school project anyways so ill probably be hunting so long no rain or gale force winds

Sorry guys, I passed a buck tonight. He was the 2.5 year old I saw the first day. I just didn't have it in me to shoot his deer tonight. I also saw my little button buck buddy...lol

I could tell he was on the move and on a mission searching so it's picking up. I'm out the next 3 evenings, all day Saturday, Monday evening and then I'm off from Halloween through the next week. That'll be 11 all day stands at primetime.

man rob..i forgot you have vacation during prime time! thats awesome. come 3 or 4 years your little button buck buddy better be doin the same thing..and we better be on the same team again! lol

heading out in the morning. pretty not excited to hear the deer are starting to move lol. i just dont wanna get my hopes up. i been to the highest of highs this year..and to the lowest of lows. no more gettin excited till my tag is in an ear. im exspecially saddened that i have my wildland fire training classes nov 2, 3,4,5th[:@] but if i get a job fighting wildfires this summer and come back and buy me a brand new bow AND truck....itll be worth a couple days missed this season. already told my parents if i go this summer im buying a good 4x4 when i get back. they agreed as long as i pay cash. then put about 2k aside to a good exhaust, intake, rims, tires and whatevers left will be banked. sounds good to me. hope it goes that way. i DO have mon tues wed mornings and all of friday and sat of the last week to hunt so ill be ok.

heading out in the morning...kinda windy but never know. ill refill the scrape dripper since i havent hunted it since i filled it..next week ill hunt it though its probably too late. we will see. cant hurt i dont think. if i didnt have a school project to do where i hunt i wouldnt head out in the nasty wind and cold tomarrow...i just cant take wind. ill be down out of the tree EARLY..but hey..ill be out there for a little while..better then layin in bed all day

Keep the faith captain.

Germ, I agree, definately prerut time right now, peak about 2 weeks off, right on time, making it maybe a week early, peak in our hemisphere is Nov 15, might be slightly early, don't know, I can only hunt until the 11th of Nov. and the season is closed for 2 weeks and the rifle opens, I hate when that happens.

I agree Rob, for us aroung 9,10,11th Rut really kicks in. Last year I had a doe in Estrus early Oct 28th. How I got the big boy!!

I can hunt to the 14th, then rifle starts. I head to Ohio for those two weekends, no gun hunting until Dec.
