One of the great little corks about our land is I always see more bucks then Doe's, LOL

I think I would had one this morning, but she got all wigged out at her fawn(button buck). She stomped and blew at him, he walk right back in front of me like he was in troulble, LOL

The doe just walk off like nothing was wrong, I thought she was blwing at me, but she only blew once. Then walked off like nothing was wrong.

That little button buck ate a bushel of corn this morning, he at for 45 mins, LOL

I can't help any more.....but I still like to report.

I hunted Friday evening in the good spot.....ONLY because I knew I had good wind.....and I didn't know if I'd get rained out Saturday, or not. I didn't see a deer unti I was out of the woods....and then I saw one in the bottom.

Saturday I woke up to a steady rain. Forecast was for rain all day. I got out the Double Bull and headed up to "the spot". All was well (perfect wind) except 2 things:

1. No deer showed.....although it WAS a mid-day hunt.....and likely a little early for that
2. I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE DEER HUNTING OUT OF A BLIND.

I've had the DB for a year, now....and I've hunted out of it (deer), twice. I just don't have the confidence I should in utilizing it. It's probably a GREAT tool to get me into some places I don't normally go......I just hate doing it.

I took the climber out Saturday afternoon. I inched a little further up into the woods.......saw 10.....no "shooters" (2 smallish spikes)....and lots of does w/ fawns. GREAT sit, though. I know now that the place I thought was the bedding area....across from the place I ORIGINALLY thought was their bedding area.....is NOT their bedding area....lol. They're crossing the horse pasture (FROM their bedding area) to get to my spot (which has more acorns in it right now than I've ever seen concentrated into one area).

I think I've found my late season set-up.

annnnd i didnt get up this morning:( shoulda..coulda..woulda. but i havent got more then 6hrs of sleep since last monday night! most nights were much less then 6hrs. between school work and hunting i been on the go quick!! even think i lost a few pounds because i havent sat down and ate! dad needs me to take him to drop his truck off to be inspected..and im heading back to bed for a while!

ghemry..must be nice to see bucks often! big or small antler still gets the blood pumping!..my area of PA is FINALLY turning around. im finally starting to see antler. just looking for one of size now. this weather coming in should be awesome! hopefully kick them in high gear and get them moving good. oh..and guess what..i got wed morning, ALL day friday, sat evening, all day monday AND tuesday and wed morning to hunt next week!! monday and tuesday is "fall break" from school. i call it authorized hunting time:D i never skip college classes to hunt. highschool i was rarely there in hunting season..but i pay for college. only way ill miss is if i hit one and im tracking or dragging and somehow dont make it to class..

cant wait...hopefully get things moving and going on!! i hope to take a doe here soon just so as it gets later and the bucks are chasing i aint shooting their does. they are my bait! but id definently like some meat in the freezer. also requested the last 2 days off of work! the weekend before i have my wildland firefighting courses[:@] couldnt came at a worst time..but hey gota do what i gota do.

Way too hot, 78 degrees, I wasn't going to go, but I had to...sat in a new stand over corn hoping, didn't see a deer. Great night tho, I was out.

well guys..im heading out in the morning. i usually dont hunt tuesdays because i have class at 2. but that class has been CANCLED! that means i dont have class till 330. thats a little better so im going. i usually go wed because i dont have class till 5 but looks like rain..so looks like ill sleep that day. another reason i want to get out tomarrow. going to hunt the same general area as last wed with hopefully a better setup. see what happens. then im going to scout the area pretty hard and learn it better and also check out another area i was told about by a guy on another msg board. hopefully i see some action tomarrow. but really looking forward to friday. checked germs time chart he posted and man does it look GOOD friday morning..so does sat morning but i work..ill hunt friday evening. ill report in after my hunt tomarrow! keep at it boys..were doin good...

I got up and ready to work at the surveying job and the boss calls to tell me we arn't working today or tomorrow. just wasted amorning[:@]Guess it's a good time to shoot some arrows. Guys remember to practise though out the season. Alot of hunters stop shooting once the season starts. Big no no!

Well boys.......the Mrs. and I are heading to dreary old Cancun for 8 days, starting Saturday. I don't know if I'd feel like a team player if I hadn't already scored.....and I'd likely have cancelled the trip (yeah right).

I'll be thinking about you while I'm there (2nd lie of this post). We hit this bar there called Coco Bongo's.....and there's this en fuego, caliente un poco mamacita there that dances behind this shadow box......and kills me EVERY TIME. I've been looking forward to this trip since last Fall (we usually go there twice a year).

Mexican food......great weather.....and beautiful women. Snickers bars........30 degrees........and trying to keep from farting while on stand.

6 - one ....1/2 dozen the other.

All in all......I'd rather be back here hunting with you guys (last lie, I promise).
