Well I go my mother-in-law to drive Hillary to School on Friday. I will be in the tree in the eveing.

jeff...definently think that second buck tag needs filled with a BIGGER buck...not calling yours small, but you know what i mean!..as team captain i think you killed a doe the other day..first buck counts;) robs the leader of the show...im sure he seen the doe you took the other day too:D

howd the day and evening go everyone??? anyone? i had class...got home and decided to work on my scent practices and the boots. washed the clothes in baking soda..man im doing that more often..brought out stuff i never knew was in there..and that water smelled aweful funky. got some drying by the wood burner..dried the rest inside out. soaked the boots..scrubbed them with saddle soap..then rinsed and scrubed with baking soda...they are sitting by the fire too. going to wax the heck out of them when they dry shortly. sick of cold wet feet. and sick of the deer claiming i stink. sprayed down a lined nylon bag with White Lightning..going to store my clothes in that for now on. just bought the white lightning..we will see how it works. i try to play the wind but need an edge for when they hit my trail and for when they sneak in down wind...see if i can get myself some sightings atleast..sick of hearing them wind me! only happened twice..both times down wind but still dont wanna hear that sound anymore!

Full moons suck and how darn cold does it have to be to eliminate skeeters? They pissed me off tonight. The breeze was wonderful, the temperature right, but the moon must have them bedded til dark, didn't see a deer. I hunted a different stand 200 yards down from my food plot but I can still see it. It borders their bedding area. I was playing the wind and most deer either come from within 30 yards of this tree or come to it. It's a perfect setup and years ago I've seen the biggest buck in the area from this stand...I'll give it more time.

ahhhh not sounding good for my hunt tomarrow and sat after work:( hopefully i get lucky..im hunting the place i got kicked out of tomarrow after work..think itll be a real hard staging area. buck hunting there

then hunting the orchard sat after work..buck or doe there..then monday morning we will see on where i hunt....

found out we have a fall break at school. oct 16th and 17th. plus ill get to hunt the 18th morning. not prime time but ill take what i can get.

hopefully my time isnt far off. id really like a buck to break the bowhuntingice or i wouldnt be buck hunting so much. i got confidence in myself. itll happen.

Guys check this site out, I have been keeping my own data, but have not made the correlation between the moon and deer movement. I am going to start.
