Hey Bro from the North, rock on Jason, keep the faith, we're standing here behind you cheering you on. Your right, it's never over til it's over. I'd imagine your deer are coming on strong up there in the great white North, bring one of those big Canadian whitetails home my bro, good luck.

Good luck Extreme, the team is pulling for ya. Take it to those canadian bucks.. EH!

MM, I know you'll come through too. Show us some pics of your new log home, I hope to build my own one day too.

I'm going out for my second Illinois buck now! After stalking my 11-11-06 buck I kind of slacked and caught up on sleep more than I hunted. Now I want another buck! Hung a new stand and will sit it for the first time on Thanksgiving morning. Never give in gentlemen.

A little bump back where we belong--at the top

Thanks Rob and Duke for the kind words of encouragement
I am still at her and the deer are really starting to move around alot now as the temps are dropping.
I just met my bud and his boss at the coffee shop(Tim Hortons) last night. He is giving us sole permission to hunt his 160 acres. It consists of an apple orchard, small 15-20 acres fields(I think 3 of them),hardwoods and the back end is swamp and real thick stuff.I decided to go for a walk tonight with the bow and check it out after work.It looks promising but more like an early season spot with the apple trees of course.I will give it a try this year,he already has stands placed, but wont get real excited about it intill I really get a feel for his land and see where the deer are bedding, gathering etc.Next year I am looking forward to hunting this land come early october.
I will be heading out tomorrow after work to one of my other spots that hasnt been hunted in a while, should have about an hour and half before dark. Will try the grunt call a few times and see if I can get something interested and come out in the open.

Mantis, cool pics and congrats on the doe.

extreme1, sounds promising. Our lead season starts on Monday. I'm tagged out but I'm going with the landowner to see if we can round up a buck for him. I'd like to put him on the Big 5 my friend hit and we didn't find, saw him several times later with the mark on his upper shouder/back....I'd like to autopsy him and see what the broadhead did.

Rob,good luck with the firearm and hopefully you will get the big 5
Do you not have a late season archery hunt in PA,or no other tags available?
Your welcome to hunt here next year, lots of tags and lots of land, early or late,it will be fine by me.Cant promise you a deer but it will likely be a big one if we do hit them on a good day.

The temps are starting to drop---today being -4 when I woke up and a real heavy frost.Come on Saturday morn
