Congrats on getting on the board guys. You guys are gonna be tough to beat this season, and it might be a dogfight down to the bitter end.

Good luck, and be safe. Things should start heating up soon - temperatures around here are finally starting to dip to non-sweltering levels.

Bowhunter2117;
Congrats on the buck !!!!! Way to go getting us on the board.
I got a heart shot on a doe last night that was feeding on acorns and of course she fell to the bottom of the steep ravine it took 2 of us to drag her up out of the ravine and I passed on a shot at a young 7 pointer yesterday morning, he had good mass but a narrow tall rack with poor tine length... wish coons were in season I had a 23 yard shot a Booner Raccoon yesterday.

Congrats on the doe, Lady.

No luck here either. I went out this weekend, and saw only young doe's and bucks. But with the weather cooling down this weekend, hopefully the deer will start moving a little better.

I got a few game camera pics of some nice bucks though, including one big 10ptr, I'd love to put a tag on.

Plans are finalized for the weekend. I'm hunting some different property near the Neb/Kan border. Over 500 acres of timber, creek, and hidden fields, with lots of deer that hasn't been touched this year. Usually I don't get to hunt their since it is leased out. But the lease doesn't start until Nov. so I was given permission to hunt, until then, thanks to the nice landowner. Come on Saturday morning!

Yes the Cold Weather is nice! It's in the upper 30's here. Good luck hunting. Hopefully the cool weather will keep the deer moving.

Bowhunter2117

Congrats on the 5 pt!!! Looking forward to seeinga picture of him.

Lady Forge

Congrats on the doe!! I passed on a Booner skunk last weekend at 4 yards. Seemed the thing to do since I was downwind!! [&:]

Joey

Sounds great about theland... hopefully you get some good hunts in before Nov 1st.

Last weekend was bad.Windy and very warm temps. Seen a couple young bucks. We areare busy with the corn now. 1000 acres left to be combined. Saw a real nice 5 pt tonight in one of my hunting spots. Wished I could have been hunting instead of working.

Will get a morning hunt in before work tomorrow... eerrrr today. Not sure when I will get to hunt after that. Hoping we are done withcorn a week before rifle season starts.Might take a week off just to hunt before the deer are shell shocked by the army of orange.

Best of luck to every one and again Congrats to Bowhunter2117 and Lady Forge on the deer.

Tim
