Well fella's I finally have the right wind..and the timing is good. Going to sit in the Corner stand tonight. First time all season. I'm a little worried if enough leaves have fallen to open up the area a little ..but I'm excited ...we'll see what happens.

I had a doe broadside at 20 yds this am, and let her walk...heading out in two hours, no more Mr. Nice Guy...

ANNOUNCEMENT to my team:

I just got a call that will send me to a mining camp for a month or so. For that time, I won't have internet access and therefore won't be checking in. It's not that I'm ignoring or have abandoned you and I will resuface asap.

Sunday is my departure date, so I'll likely check in a couple times before then. In my absence, go get them deer! :)

Team..I am so sick of hunting in rain and wind!
Funny story, I get up yesterday (Friday) with the day off of work..going to go hunt the morning hunt. Get dressed and I walk to the truck in the rain and wind I look up and just shake my head at the weather. I retreat back to the garage and just stand there watching and watching as the trees blow. My wife sticks her head out the door and says "what's wrong?" I say "The weather sucks!" she laughs and goes back inside.. Five minutes later she looks out I'm still standing there...She says, "Hunting is supposed to be fun.. right?""Come on in I'll make breakfast."

Thursday night I did make it to the corner stand....but again with the wind and rain saw nothing ..it will be a good stand and i shouldn't even have sat in it in that weather..I'm itching to have a good day. I had been seeing plenty of deer but the last week and a half have just been horrible!

Todays a bust due to work in the a.m. and a family thing this evening but tomorrow I'll get out !!! rain rain go away.......
