Boys they are starting to cut down the corn here now...this is gonna be goodI think/hope....
My buddy scored a nice 8pt last evening with a rifle...it was also chasing does in a wide open field.
Safe to say the rut is happening here.

Any more news? I hunted hard all weekend and saw 4 does! What a bust.

man i've been hunting hard about every other day after school. nothing but does and a narly 5 pointer. Hopefully i'll get one after shotgun season this weekend.

Hunting gets TOUGH after slug season - been there, done that! Fortunately I'm in a bow-only county and I'll be hunting hard this weekend, and if I dont' fill my other tag then I'll be back at it for Thanksgiving Weekend. After that it gets tough and I'll start focusing on late season set-ups if I haven't connected yet.
What about the rest of our team? Have they vanished into the night like so many others??

Well hate to do this guys but.....
I have damaged my shoulder/neck somehow and cannot work and am not supposed to hunt(hmmm) thats said bowhunting is definately out of the question.
Hopefully you can find a replacement in time.

Hey man, sorry to hear about you getting hurt. But hey, that's life and it happens. Don't worry about hunting, worry about getting healthy and getting back after that buck next year when he's a real whopper.
