RE: Team XX check in

Well...by reading the last three pages of postings, it sounds like everyone is doing just fine. I've been getting in a little fishing here and there (that is between work) and trying to hit the links a couple times a week. I have two little girls...five and two. My five year old started playing golf with me about two weeks ago and now that's all she talks about. When I go to pick up my bow, then that's all she talks about.

Friday, some guys I work with and I went over to Cabelas (Dundee, MI). They were having their summer tent sale and oh boy...I got some great deals on late season clothing. Of course you guys know how it is, you could spend fifty thousand in there without a blink of an eye.

What's this about packages you're all talking about? I've seen nothing.

Yea sumhunter, he was looking for you a short while back.

I've been shooting a good bit lately, trying to be ready earlier than normal. had some issues tuning broadheads, got caught chasing my tail. Tomorrow I am starting all over from scratch.

I saw a really nice buck behind my house this morning as I was leaving for work. He's out past his ears and getting some nice tines already. Looked like a 10 pointer, but its hard to tell with my cheapo binos. The good news...he was near the funnel and rub line that I hung a stand in last week. The bad news.....well, I have the nickname buttonbuckmaster for a reason.:(

Hey guys, I couldn't resist - so I posted this in the Smack Talk thread for the '06 contest. LOL (it's from my fantasy football league, I changed some of the names from Fuzzy Wuzzy Bunnies to Team XX)

It was pandemonium last night, as the defending Bowhunting Champion Team XX was received at a red carpet event held at the Ritz Carlton hotel.

TheXX arrived with their full entourrage oftwenty matching blackcamoHummerLimousines. The paparazzi was everywhere. Publicists from ESPN, the Enquirer, Howard Stern, HNIand the Associated Press were on hand. This was clearly THE official launch of the 2006 Bowhunting Contest.

Team XX Captain, Shed33, was the first to grace the red carpet. Flash bulbs were popping as he strolled down the rug, with his beautiful wife in his arm. He posed briefly for photos.

TheDefending Champssmiled for a group photo as they boarded the buses, showing off their new, matching 24 karat gold bows.

After their royal reception and interviews with the press, theChamps feasted on venison and roast duck.

The Champs were all business afterward, as they boarded black, limo-tinted buses en route to their top secret whitetail training location. Armed guards set up a roadblock so that would-be spectators were unable to follow. At a glance, it would appear thatTeam XXis poised and focused to defend their title.
