Troy - Just you wait till that grass really starts growing - you'll be begging your neighbor to bring his cows back over to "mow" your lawn. ...as long as they don't eat the Hydrangeas. And by the way, I'm mighty jealous - I wish hunting season HERE started in August. grrrrr....

IL - it sounds like you're having tough luck with the Yamaha. Why all the trouble? Do you put a lot of mileage on it, or did you just get a lemon? ...or... are you one of those guys (like me) who just tends to break things? Good luck with the game cameras - Wal-Mart just had a big sale on their Moultrie digitals(Low Megapixels)for $60-70, but I missed them. There might still be some in your area. People around here gobbled them up pretty quick.

I heard my first report of a buck out of velvet for 2006 (I can't verify it though). It's getting to be that time...

I helped my dad sight in his bow last night....wow. For an old fart that has stacked up some deer over the years, he has a hard time punching paper. The bow was dead on when he put it away in January. He was all over the place. We finally got it dialed in, but it was an adventure. He is like Mr. October when a deer walks in, but there are times when I just scratch my head. We're shooting again tonight, hopefully he keeps them in the general area of the target lol. He hasn't missed a deer for probably 10 years or more, but he really has a hard time on the range.

I bought two of those last year and never got a pick on them... I don't know, I think I broke them quick ;)

As far as the yamaha... NO problems with it until I brought it in to the dealer for the tune up. Since than? Doh! The electrical seems like just a simple fuse proble, I nope but we shall see. A lot of miles on the Quad.. Uhm... 100 miles a week is not to uncomon... Is that a lot? It took me two weeks to put 250 miles on the Polaris, lol. We use them a lot on the cows... I am thinking about ditching one and buying a horse instead as the only gas involved is produced instead of consumed at 3 bucks a gallon.

Hey how are things going with everyone? Things are good here just busy and not time to get on and post.

Sounds like the scouting is going well for everyone. I have not had time to get out yet but I hope to here soon.

I thought I better drop a few lines now but hopefully I will have more time in the near future. Talk to you all later.

William

House projects, fun fun.... I will be starting one myself soon... addition...
Hung my daughters stand last Sat. and the last too mornings on my way home from work I have seen deer in the area of the stand... yesterday there were 4 deer, 2 were buks for sure and not too sure on the others, about 100 yards from the stand.. the day before that I seen 5 bucks under the stand, two 4-6 points, one some what bigger and two that were nice 8+ points. I hope we have this kind of luck in another 4 weeks.

The 8mm video I THINK can be copied to a cd at cvs or another film store. I have not had it done so I can not tell you for sure.

I have an old 250 suzuki, I think its an 1983 or so.. runs like a top!!!!

Hey guys, hows everyone doing? Getting revved up for this contest, we sure had a great time last year. Havnt had much tme to get on here much lately, between doing the family stuff, getting ready for the season, and the end of the year specials are kicking into high gear around here at the race tracks, so my weekends are kind of crazy. But I finally did get out last Sunday and get all my stands taken care of, and get my camera back out there. Our Bow season starts September 16th, so not much time left, I am sure the time will fly by. Hope everyone is doing good, be back soon.;)

Got to keep us up near the top where we belong.
Still pretty much just floating along here. Shooting and getting all my stuff ready for Idaho. I'm waiting for one of my neighbors to come over and shove my elk bugle where the sun don't shine;)I've been managing to try and sound like a herd of elk these days.

As far as deer go, I saw what I needed to see at my spots. There's bigguns in the area, I'll take a stealthy walk thru at each of them and then it's just a matter waiting on the deer.

I've been doing a little trash talking here an there too.:DRob's team really thinks they can take us.

There are a lot of good teams out there this year, but I think teams 8, 36 and 12 will be our top competition.

I think we're in pretty good shape going into this season, as a group. Everybody seems like they've got their ducks in a row, as usual. Hopefully we can revisit last year's success. I know I have room to improve - my buck from last year wasn't the classof deer that I had in mind, but I just couldn't lay off the trigger, especially knowing that my hunting time was so limited.

This year will be no different - with not much time to burn in archery season, I'll have to rely on my preseason scouting and info gained in seasons past.

Ryan - LOL - I just had to laugh thinking about your neighbors and what theythink about that shrill shreiking cackle coming from next door. They probably think you're torturing live animals or having some weird sexual ritual. LMAO

AR -I'll give CVS a call and see if they can do anything with that tape - if they can, I'm in business.

William - did you ever do anything with that deer head from last year, or is it still in your freezer? If you want, I can emailyou some pictures ofmy finished european mounts.
