OK Team Captains I Need Your Vote On This.
#1

We have something to vote on.
And its this.
7.You must have a picture posted on the contest page within the,
Official Score Card thread to enter a deer.
The Deer must have a tag visable(if tags apply to your state),
No skull pictures, no rack pictures - the Deer the gun and yourself,
Must be in the picture.
The picture MUST be in a Tastefull manner as to promote hunting,
( No Blood And Gore Pictures will be Allowed )
If the Deer is all bloody clean it up before the picture and
Hide the big hole from bullet.
Remember this is to promote hunting not degrade it.
There has been a couple of pictures posted without there guns in them.
One was there first deer and in his excitement he forgot the gun.
I can understand that being the first deer ever shot.
How ever I am starting to get flack about this.
What we need to vote on
Is should these team members,
Be allowed to keep there
Bucks in the contest with there team ?
bristowboy 20 had a good reason.
He got excited and forgot his gun.
And it was to warm to go back and
get it before skinning his buck.
270 win Im not sure why he didn't have his gun in the picture.
Theres only 8 people stepping up as captains.
ONLY Team Captains may vote on this no one else Please.
I would have done a poll but the option isn't in this sub forum.
So if you are a team captain Please Give me your Vote.
Only Team Captains OK
Thank You

i believe the deer should count he went through hard work to get this deer and for not having the gun in the pic it gets discaulified that dont sound right to me i think it should stay and this should be a warning for every one else its the kids first big deer he was happy, he forgot the gun and the deer got slaughterd.

i say that maybe someone who forgets a gun should be allowed to show maybe a picture of them with just the rack and a gun. I mean honestly, some states allow for bow and gun hunting at the same time. So what is stopping someone from just taking a picture with each weapon and then deciding which one to submit, if they are in both contests. This whole contest is built off of trust, so I say something like that we should just let fly.

well, if one is not accepted because of one of these reasons, would it be okay for them to turn in a second deer they get? if possible. I still think that we should allow them. I mean, i dont take my camera out with me into the field, and I would probably have a hard time talking my brother or my dad help me drag it back out into the yard if I forget just to get a picture. again, just my opinion.

My vote is to allow it. On all the photos I have on my wall I don't have any which show my bow or gun. As a matter of fact I had to go back and rephotograph the one I got for the bow contest because I forgot to put my bow in it. Good thing I haden't skunn it yet. Anyway I really don't think that the gun is important as long as the person it in it with the deer and everything else is legal.Team 6 votes allow them. Mike

For team #9
When the issue was possible spoilage, I'd say let it in.
Another potential situation.... In some states theres no hunting on Sunday. Suppose you hit one Saturday afternoon and have to go out and find your deer Sunday morning. Withoutyour gun, of course. You find him and it's getting hot. cant take the gun in the field, pictures by the vehicle with the gun on Sundaywouldgenerate a risk of causing a stir with the law. Lets futher say the butcher is 10 minutes and homeis an hour away.Pictures for this contest should be last priority on your list.
Obviuosly this is an against the odds scenario but strange stuff happens. I say leave it to Jrbsr to decide if the situation warrants an exception and we all live with hisdecision with no flack.
